Successful type I Leptogenesis with SO(10)-inspired mass relations / Di Bari, Pasquale (INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
It is well-known that thermal leptogenesis through the decays of the lightest right-handed neutrinos encounters serious difficulties when SO(10)-inspired mass conditions are imposed on the Dirac neutrino mass matrix and light neutrino masses are generated through the type I see-saw mechanism. We show that these can be circumvented when the production from the next-to-lightest right-handed neutrinos and flavor effects are properly taken into account. [...]

Testing SO(10)-inspired leptogenesis with low energy neutrino experiments / Di Bari, Pasquale (Southampton U. ; Sussex U.) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
We extend the results of a previous analysis of ours showing that, when both heavy and light flavour effects are taken into account, successful minimal (type I + thermal) leptogenesis with SO(10)-inspired relations is possible. Barring fine tuned choices of the parameters, these relations enforce a hierarchical RH neutrino mass spectrum that results into a final asymmetry dominantly produced by the next-to-lightest RH neutrino decays (N_2 dominated leptogenesis). On the Impact of Flavour Oscillations in Leptogenesis / De Simone, Andrea (MIT, LNS) ; Riotto, Antonio (CERN ; INFN, Padua)
When lepton flavour effects in thermal leptogenesis are active, they introduce important differences with respect to the case in which they are neglected, the so-called one-flavour approximation. We investigate analytically and numerically the transition from the one-flavour to the two-flavour case when the $\tau$-lepton flavour becomes distinguishable from the other two flavours. [...]

Supersymmetric Leptogenesis and the Gravitino Bound / Giudice, G.F. (CERN) ; Mether, L. (CERN ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Riotto, A. (CERN ; INFN, Padua) ; Riva, Francesco (CERN ; Oxford U., Theor. Phys.)
Supersymmetric thermal leptogenesis with a hierarchical right-handed neutrino mass spectrum requires the mass of the lightest right-handed neutrino to be heavier than about 10^9 GeV. This is in conflict with the upper bound on the reheating temperature which is found by imposing that the gravitinos generated during the reheating stage after inflation do not jeopardize successful nucleosynthesis. [...]

Flavoured leptogenesis: a successful thermal leptogenesis with $N_1$ mass below $10^8$ GeV / Vives, O (CERN)
We prove that taking correctly into account the lepton flavour dependence of the CP asymmetries and washout processes, it is possible to obtain successful thermal leptogenesis from the decays of the second right-handed neutrino. The asymmetries in the muon and tau-flavour channels are then not erased by the inverse decays of the lightest right-handed neutrino, N_1. [...]

Flavour-Dependent Leptogenesis with Sequential Dominance / Antusch, S (Univ. Madrid) ; King, S F (Univ. Southampton) ; Riotto, Antonio (CERN ; INFN Padova)
We study thermal leptogenesis in classes of neutrino mass models based on the seesaw mechanism with three right-handed neutrinos and sequential right-handed neutrino dominance. The flavour-dependent Boltzmann equations are solved appropriate to both the Standard Model and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. [...]

Flavour Matters in Leptogenesis / Abada, A ; Davidson, Sacha ; Ibarra, A ; Josse-Michaux, F X ; Losada, M ; Riotto, Antonio
We give analytic approximations to the baryon asymmetry produced by thermal leptogenesis with hierarchical right-handed neutrinos. Our calculation includes flavour-dependent washout processes and CP violation in scattering, and neglects gauge interactions and finite temperature corrections. [...]

Towards a complete theory of thermal leptogenesis in the SM and MSSM / Giudice, Gian Francesco ; Notari, A ; Raidal, Martti ; Riotto, Antonio ; Strumia, A
We perform a thorough study of thermal leptogenesis adding finite temperature effects, RGE corrections, scatterings involving gauge bosons and by properly avoiding overcounting on-shell processes. Assuming hierarchical right-handed neutrinos with arbitrary abundancy, successful leptogenesis can be achieved if left-handed neutrinos are lighter than 0.13 eV and right-handed neutrinos heavier than 0.2 10^8 GeV (SM case, 3sigma C.L.). Production of Massive Fermions at Preheating and Leptogenesis / Giudice, Gian Francesco ; Peloso, M ; Riotto, Antonio ; Tkachev, Igor I
We present a complete computation of the inflaton decay into very massive fermions during preheating. We show that heavy fermions are produced very efficiently up to masses of order 10^{17}-10^{18} GeV; the accessible mass range is thus even broader than the one for heavy bosons. [...]

It has been recently shown that the quantum Boltzmann equations may be relevant for the leptogenesis scenario. In particular, they lead to a time-dependent CP asymmetry which depends upon the previous dynamics of the system. [...]
