Quasi-particle Specific Heats for the Crystalline Color Superconducting Phase of QCD / Casalbuoni, R. (CERN) ; Gatto, Raoul (Geneva U.) ; Mannarelli, M. (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Nardulli, G. (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Ruggieri, M. (CERN ; Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Stramaglia, S. (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari)
We calculate the specific heats of quasi-particles of two-flavor QCD in its crystalline phases for low temperature. We show that for the different crystalline structures considered here there are gapless modes contributing linearly in temperature to the specific heat. [...]

Aspects of the Color Flavor Locking phase of QCD in the Nambu-Jona Lasinio approximation / Casalbuoni, R. (CERN) ; Gatto, Raoul (Geneva U.) ; Nardulli, G. (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Ruggieri, M. (CERN ; Bari U. ; INFN, Bari)
We study two aspects of the CFL phase of QCD in the NJL approximation. The first one is the issue of the dependence on \mu of the ultraviolet cutoff in the gap equation, which is solved allowing a running coupling constant. [...]

Measuring $B \to \rho\pi$ decays and the unitarity angle $\alpha$ / Deandrea, A. (CERN) ; Gatto, Raoul (Geneva U.) ; Ladisa, M. (CERN ; Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Nardulli, G. (CERN ; Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Santorelli, Pietro (Naples U. ; INFN, Naples)
The decay mode B -> rho pi is currently studied as a channel allowing, in principle, to measure without ambiguities the angle alpha of the unitarity triangle. It is also investigated by the CLEO Collaboration where a branching ratio larger than expected for the decay mode B+/- -> rho0 pi+/- has been found. [...]

The Lightest Pseudo-Goldstone Boson at Future $e^{+}e^{-}$ Colliders / Casalbuoni, R. (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence) ; Deandrea, A. (CERN) ; De Curtis, S. (INFN, Florence) ; Dominici, D. (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence) ; Gatto, Raoul (Geneva U.) ; Gunion, J.F. (UC, Davis)
In a class of models of dynamical symmetry breaking not ruled out by the available data, the lightest neutral pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson P0 contains only down-type techniquarks and charged technileptons. Its mass scale is naturally determined by the b-quark and therefore it is likely to be light. [...]

Comparing electroweak data with a decoupling model / Casalbuoni, R. (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence ; Geneva U.) ; De Curtis, S. (INFN, Florence) ; Dominici, D. (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence) ; Gatto, Raoul (Geneva U.) ; Grazzini, M. (CERN ; INFN, Parma)
Present data, both from direct Higgs search and from analysis of electroweak data, are starting to become rather restrictive on the possible values for the mass of the standard model Higgs. We discuss a new physics scenario based on a model with decoupling (both in a linear and in a non linear version) showing how it allows for an excellent fit to the present values of the $\epsilon$ parameters and how it widens the allowed ranges for the Higgs mass (thought as elementary in the linear version, or as composite in the non linear one)..
