Photon pair production in gluon fusion: Top quark effects at NLO with threshold matching / Chen, Long (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Heinrich, Gudrun (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jahn, Stephan (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jones, Stephen P. (CERN) ; Kerner, Matthias (Zurich U.) ; Schlenk, Johannes (PSI, Villigen) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul)
We present a calculation of the NLO QCD corrections to the loop-induced production of a photon pair through gluon fusion, including massive top quarks at two loops, where the two-loop integrals are calculated numerically. Matching the fixed-order NLO results to a threshold expansion, we obtain accurate results around the top quark pair production threshold. [...]

Probing the trilinear Higgs boson coupling in di-Higgs production at NLO QCD including parton shower effects / Heinrich, G. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jones, S.P. (CERN) ; Kerner, M. (Zurich U.) ; Luisoni, G. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Scyboz, L. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.)
We present results for Higgs boson pair production with variations of the trilinear Higgs boson self-coupling at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD including the full top quark mass dependence. Differential results at 14 TeV are presented, and we discuss the implications of anomalous trilinear couplings as well as differences between the PYTHIA 8.2 and HERWIG 7.1 parton showers in combination with POWHEG. We present the first combination of NLO QCD matrix elements for di-Higgs production, retaining the full top quark mass dependence, with a parton shower. Results are provided within both the POWHEG-BOX and MadGraph5_aMC@NLO Monte Carlo frameworks. [...]

$ZH$ production in gluon fusion: two-loop amplitudes with full top quark mass dependence / Chen, Long (Munich, Max Planck Inst. ; Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Heinrich, Gudrun (KIT, Karlsruhe, TP) ; Jones, Stephen P. (CERN ; Durham U., IPPP) ; Kerner, Matthias (Zurich U.) ; Klappert, Jonas (RWTH Aachen U.) ; Schlenk, Johannes (PSI, Villigen)
We present results for the two-loop helicity amplitudes entering the NLO QCD corrections to the production of a Higgs boson in association with a $Z$-boson in gluon fusion. The two-loop integrals, involving massive top quarks, are calculated numerically. [...]

Top-pair production at the LHC with MiNNLO$_{\rm PS}$ / Mazzitelli, Javier (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN) ; Nason, Paolo (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Re, Emanuele (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Annecy, LAPTH) ; Wiesemann, Marius (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Zanderighi, Giulia (Munich, Max Planck Inst. ; Tech. U., Munich (main))
We consider the production of a pair of heavy quarks and illustrate the derivation of the MiNNLO method to match next-to-next-to-leading order calculations with parton showers (NNLO+PS) for this class of processes. As a first application, we construct an event generator for the fully differential simulation of hadronic top-quark pair production at NNLO+PS and discuss all details of its implementation in a parton shower Monte Carlo framework. NLO and off-shell effects in top quark mass determinations / Heinrich, G. We study the impact of different theoretical descriptions of top quark pair production on top quark mass measurements in the di-lepton channel. To this aim, the full NLO corrections to $pp\rightarrow W^+W^-b\bar b\rightarrow (e^+ \nu_e)\,(\mu^- \bar{\nu}_{\mu})\,b\bar b$ production are compared to calculations in the narrow width approximation, where the production of a top quark pair is calculated at NLO and combined with three different descriptions of the top quark decay: leading order, next-to-leading order and via a parton shower. Higgs boson pair production at NNLO with top quark mass effects / Grazzini, Massimiliano (Zurich U.) ; Heinrich, Gudrun (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jones, Stephen (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Kallweit, Stefan (CERN) ; Kerner, Matthias (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Lindert, Jonas M. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Mazzitelli, Javier (Zurich U.)
We consider QCD radiative corrections to Higgs boson pair production through gluon fusion in proton collisions. We combine the exact next-to-leading order (NLO) contribution, which features two-loop virtual amplitudes with the full dependence on the top quark mass $M_t$, with the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) corrections computed in the large-$M_t$ approximation. MiNNLO$_{\text{PS}}$: A new method to match NNLO QCD to parton showers / Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN) ; Nason, Paolo (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Re, Emanuele (CERN ; Annecy, LAPTH) ; Wiesemann, Marius (CERN ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Zanderighi, Giulia (Munich, Max Planck Inst.)
We present a novel method to combine QCD calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) with parton shower (PS) simulations, that can be applied to the production of heavy systems in hadronic collisions, such as colour singlets or a $t\bar{t}$ pair. The NNLO corrections are included by connecting the MiNLO$^\prime$ method with transverse-momentum resummation, and they are calculated at generation time without any additional reweighting, making the algorithm considerably efficient. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Kerner, M. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Schlenk, J. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Zirke, T. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.)
We present pySecDec, a new version of the program SecDec, which performs the factorisation of dimensionally regulated poles in parametric integrals, and the subsequent numerical evaluation of the finite coefficients. The algebraic part of the program is now written in the form of python modules, which allow a very flexible usage. [...]

Our calculation includes short-distance electroweak corrections, the complete ${\cal O}(\alpha)$ partonic terms and leading-logarithmic QED effects up to ${\cal O}(\Lambda^3_{\rm QCD}/m_b^3)$. [...]
