Rapidity correlations at fixed multiplicity in cluster emission models / Berger, M C (CERN)
Rapidity correlations in the central region among hadrons produced in proton-proton collisions of fixed final state multiplicity n at NAL and ISR energies are investigated in a two-step framework in which clusters of hadrons are emitted essentially independently, via a multiperipheral-like model, and decay isotropically. For n>or approximately=/sup 1///sub 2/(n), these semi-inclusive distributions are controlled by the reaction mechanism which dominates production in the central region. [...]

On the approach to scaling of inclusive distributions in the multiperipheral model / Caneschi, L (CERN)
It is shown that the inclusive distributions of produced particles raise to their scaling limit in the MPM as a consequence of the assumed momentum transfer limitation. A quantitative parameter-free estimate of the effect reproduces satisfactorily the observed dependence on s, x and the mass, even when non-leading Regge trajectories with intercept approximately 0.5 and positive residues are introduced.
