A radiation tolerant 12 bits, 160 MS/s data conversion and transmission ASIC for the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter / Mazza, Gianni (speaker) (Universita e INFN Torino (IT))
The readout electronics for the CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter is undergoing a re-design in order to cope with the LHC ugrade. In particular, a fourfold increase in the sampling frequency (from 40 to 160 MS/s) is required. Therefore a new readout ASIC has been developed. The ASIC, named LiTE-DTU, is designed in a CMOS 65 nm technology. [...]

Test and performance of the LiTE-DTU ASIC for the HL-LHC upgrade of the CMS ECAL barrel / Cossio, Fabio (INFN, Turin) /CMS Collaboration
A data conversion and compression ASIC, named LiTE-DTU, has been developed for the upgrade of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) for the High-Luminosity phase of LHC. The ASIC integrates two 12-bit 160 MS/s ADCs, a data processing unit for gain selection and data compression, and a 1.28 Gb/s serializer. The ASIC has been extensively tested in laboratory and in beam tests showing excellent yield and performance. The front-end electronics upgrade of the CMS ECAL barrel / Cossio, Fabio (INFN, Turin) /CMS Collaboration
The barrel part of the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) consists of 61200 PbWO$_4$ crystals coupled to avalanche photodiodes (APDs). A decrease of the ECAL operating temperature from 18$^{\circ}$ C to 9$^{\circ}$ C is needed to mitigate the increase in APD noise from radiation-induced dark current in the conditions of the high luminosity upgrade of the LHC. The high-luminosity phase of operation of the CERN Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) will pose new challenges to the detectors and their readout electronics. In particular, the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) barrel electromagnetic calorimeter will require a full redesign of the electronic readout chain in order to cope with the increase in luminosity and trigger rate. Test and performance of the CMS ECAL barrel data conversion and digital processing ASIC for HL-LHC / Borca, Cecilia (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) /CMS Collaboration
In preparation for the high luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider, a new data conversion and digital processing ASIC, called LiTE-DTU, was designed. Implemented in a 65 nm CMOS technology, the LiTE-DTU features two 12-bit 160 MS s$^{-1}$ successive approximation register time-interleaved ADCs, a data processing unit and enables efficient data transmission at 1.28 Gbps. The LiTE-DTU has undergone extensive testing in both laboratory and beam tests, demonstrating excellent performance in the pre-production version, showing the production readiness of the design. Measurements of the reaction $pp \to \phi \eta$ of antiproton annihilation at rest at three hydrogen target densities / OBELIX Collaboration
The proton-antiproton annihilation at rest into the $\phi\eta$ final state was measured for three different target densities: liquid hydrogen, gaseous hydrogen at NTP and at a low pressure of 5 mbar. The yield of this reaction in the liquid hydrogen target is smaller than in the low-pressure gas target. [...]
