We explore signatures related to squark decays in the framework of non-minimally flavour-violating Supersymmetry. We consider a simplified model where the lightest squark consists of an admixture of charm and top flavour. [...]

We propose cost-effective production of medium grain (MG) niobium (Nb) discs directly sliced from forged and annealed billet. This production method provides clean surface conditions and reliable mechanical characteristics with sub-millimeter average grain size resulting in stable SRF cavity production. [...]

Improved lattice fermion action for heavy quarks

We develop an improved lattice action for heavy quarks based on Brillouin-type fermions, that have excellent energy-momentum dispersion relation. The leading discretization errors of $O(a)$ and $O(a^2)$ are eliminated at tree-level. [...]

Wash-in leptogenesis after axion inflation
/ Domcke, Valerie (CERN) ; Kamada, Kohei (Tokyo U., RESCEU) ; Mukaida, Kyohei (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Schmitz, Kai (CERN ; Munster U.) ; Yamada, Masaki (Tohoku U. ; Tohoku U., Astron. Inst.)
CP violation and the violation of baryon-minus-lepton number B-L do not necessarily have to occur simultaneously in order to accomplish successful leptogenesis. Instead, it suffices if new CP-violating interactions at high energies result in primordial charge asymmetries, which are then reprocessed into a nonvanishing B-L asymmetry by right-handed neutrinos (RHNs) at lower energies. Charge transfer between rotating complex scalar fields
/ Domcke, Valerie (CERN ; EPFL, Lausanne, LPPC) ; Harigaya, Keisuke (CERN ; Tokyo U., IPMU) ; Mukaida, Kyohei (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba)
We consider the transfer of a $U$(1) charge density between Bose-Einstein condensates of complex scalar fields coupled to a thermal bath, focusing on the case of a homogeneous Affleck-Dine field transmitting the charge stored in its angular motion to an axion field. We demonstrate that in the absence of additional symmetries this charge transfer, aided by cosmic expansion as well as the thermal effective potential of the Affleck-Dine field, can be very efficient. Transient phenomena in the axion assisted Schwinger effect
/ Domcke, Valerie (CERN ; EPFL, Lausanne, LPPC) ; Ema, Yohei (Minnesota U., Theor. Phys. Inst.) ; Mukaida, Kyohei (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba)
Particle production induced by a time-dependent background is well understood as the projection of the time-evolved initial state onto a set of final states. While the asymptotic initial and final states are well defined in the usual way, the definition of particles and antiparticles at intermediate times in the presence of external fields is ambiguous. Approaches to inclusive semileptonic B$_{(s)}$-meson decays from Lattice QCD
/ Barone, Alessandro (Southampton U. ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Hashimoto, Shoji (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Jüttner, Andreas (Southampton U. ; CERN) ; Kaneko, Takashi (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba ; KMI, Nagoya) ; Kellermann, Ryan (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba)
We address the nonperturbative calculation of the inclusive decay rate of semileptonic $B_{(s)}$-meson decays from lattice QCD. Precise Standard-Model predictions are key ingredients in searches for new physics, and this type of computation may eventually provide new insight into the long-standing tension between the inclusive and exclusive determinations of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix elements $|V_{cb}|$ and $|V_{ub}|$. Momentum bandwidth of the KEK Accelerator Test Facility 2
/ Yang, R (CERN) ; Pastushenko, A (CERN ; IJCLab, Orsay) ; Cilento, V (CERN ; IJCLab, Orsay) ; Kubo, K (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Naito, T (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Okugi, T (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Terunuma, N (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Tomás, R (CERN)
Momentum bandwidth is an important characteristic for final focus systems (FFS) of future high-energy colliders. A large momentum bandwidth is a notable feature of the novel local-chromaticity-correction FFS, being demonstrated at the KEK Accelerator Test Facility 2 (ATF2), owing to the locality of chromaticity correction.
