Gyms
Like with most Pok�mon games, Pok�mon Sword & Shield have multiple gyms spread across the region. These gyms now have differences between versions and winners of the Gyms can enter the Champion Cup, a competition held once per year for all trainers who beat all 8 gyms.
When a trainer goes to a Gym, they have special attire to wear and each trainer can select their own 3 digit number to adorn their outfit.
This page is to detail all the gyms, and the Gym Leaders and their Pok�mon.
Gym 1: Turffield |

Location: Turffield Gym Leader: Milo Specialty: Grass-type Reward: TM10 The first gym is located early on in the game in the south of the region and is a Grass-type Gym. This gym comes with a Gym mission of having to herd a group of 20 Wooloo into threee various pens, each with Gym Trainers in. As you progress further through each pen, Yamper will start to appear which can scare off the Wooloo. Complete the mission and you can face the first Gym Leader, Milo. He Dynamaxes his Eldegoss in battle. Defeat him and you will receive TM10, Magical Leaf, the Grass Badge, the Grass Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 25

Gym 2: Hulbury |

Location: Hulbury Gym Leader: Nessa Specialty: Water-type Reward: TM36 The second gym is found in Hulbury in the south-east of the region. This Gym won't be accessible right away as you'll need to find Nessa near the lighthouse in town before she battles you. This gym comes with a Gym mission of having to work through a maze changing paths blocked by massive pillars of water. Select switches to create a path, fighting trainers as you go. Complete the mission and you can face the second Gym Leader, Nessa, who specialises in Water-type Pok�mon. She Dynamaxes her Drednaw in battle. Defeat her and you will receive TM36, Whirlpool, the Water Badge, the Water Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 30.

Gym 3: Motostoke |

Location: Motostoke Gym Leader: Kabu Specialty: Fire-type Reward: TM38 The third gym is found in back in Motostoke. As you travel there, you'll encounter Kabu in Galar Mine No. 2 who will say he was training for battles in the Gym Challenge. He has gained the reputation of being the wall many trainers hit when doing the Gym Challenge causing people to give up. The mission in his gym is to get 5 points before other trainers in the gym. To get points, you simply have to defeat or capture wild Pok�mon. 1 point for defeating and 3 points for capturing. This is done in a multi-battle with another trainer who intends to do the same thing. When you reach 5 points, the mission is complete Complete the mission and you can face the third Gym Leader, Kabu, who specialises in Fire-type Pok�mon. He Gigantamaxes his Centiskorch in battle. Defeat her and you will receive TM38, Will-o-Wisp, the Fire Badge, the Fire Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 35.

Gym 4: Stow-on-Side |

Game: Pok�mon Sword Location: Stow-on-Side Gym Leader: Bea Specialty: Fighting-type Reward: TM42 The fourth gym is up in Stow-on-Side. This gym has you participate in a rather simple Gym Mission. This Gym Mission simply requires you to slide down a slope to get to the end by rotating the control stick left or right. You can use various punching gloves to maneuver yourself around the board Complete the mission and you can face the fourth Gym Leader, Bea, who specialises in Fighting-type Pok�mon. She Gigantamaxes her Machamp in battle. Defeat her and you will receive TM42, Revenge, the Fighting Badge, the Fighting Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 40.

Gym 4: Stow-on-Side |

Game: Pok�mon Shield Location: Stow-on-Side Gym Leader: Allister Specialty: Ghost-type Reward: TM77 The fourth gym is up in Stow-on-Side. Complete the mission and you can face the fourth Gym Leader, Allister, who specialises in Ghost-type Pok�mon. He Gigantamaxes his Gengar in battle. Defeat him and you will receive TM77, Hex, the Ghost Badge, the Ghost Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 40.

Gym 5: Ballonlea |

Location: Ballonlea Gym Leader: Opal Specialty: Fairy-type Reward: TM87 The fifth gym is found all the way up in Ballonlea. This Gym has a mission which acts like an audition. You battle against various Gym Trainers and occassionally Opal will stop and ask you a question. If you get it right, your Pok�mon get a stat boost. If you get it wrong, you get a stat drop. Complete the mission and you can face the fifth Gym Leader, Opal, who specialises in Fairy-type Pok�mon. She Gigantamaxes her Alcremie in battle as well as continuing to ask questions during battle

Gym 6: Circhester |

Game: Pok�mon Sword Location: Circhester Gym Leader: Gordie Specialty: Rock-type Reward: TM48 The sixth gym is up in Circhester. This gym has you participate in a Gym Mission where you have to navigate through a tile puzzle where various tiles will collapse when you walk on them and send you back to the start. To do this, you're given sensors that vibrate the controller as you go near it. As you progress, it gets longer, with the final area whipping up a sandstorm so you can't see Complete the mission and you can face the sixth Gym Leader, Gordie, who specialises in Rock-type Pok�mon. He Gigantamaxes his Coalossal in battle. Defeat him and you will receive TM48, Rock Tomb, the Rock Badge, the Rock Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 50.

Gym 6: Circhester |

Game: Pok�mon Shield Location: Circhester Gym Leader: Melony Specialty: Ice-type Reward: TM27 The sixth gym is up in Circhester. Complete the mission and you can face the sixth Gym Leader, Melony, who specialises in Ice-type Pok�mon. She Gigantamaxes her Lapras in battle. Defeat him and you will receive TM27, Icy Wind, the Ice Badge, the Ice Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 50.

Gym 7: Spikemuth |

Location: Spikemuth Gym Leader: Piers Specialty: Dark-type Reward: TM85 The seventh gym is found in Spikemuth. At first it's not able to be entered because the gates have been closed, but Marnie lets you in. It turns out this Gym is run by her brother, Piers, who runs Team Yell and Team Yell closed off the town so that people wouldn't be able to enter to earn the badge, giving Marnie more of a chance to win. Marnie helps you and your Gym Mission is simply to get to the end, defeating Team Yell Grunts. However you can't skip any as their Kantonian Mr. Mime is blocking the road with its barriers Complete the mission and you can face the seventh Gym Leader, Piers, who specialises in Dark-type Pok�mon. He is against Dynamaxing and has resisted moving the Gym to a stadium so he won't Dynamax his Pok�mon. Defeat him and you will receive TM85, Snarl, the Dark Badge, the Dark Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 55.

Gym 8: Hammerlocke |

Location: Hammerlocke Gym Leader: Raihan Specialty: Dragon-type Reward: TM85 The eighth gym is found in Hammerlocke and is run by Leon's rival, Raihan. This Gym Mission is quite simple, face off against four trainers in Double Battles, each focusing on a certain weather setting. Complete the mission and you can face the eighth Gym Leader, Raihan, who specialises in Dragon-type Pok�mon all focusing on Sandstorm. He Gigantamaxes his Duraludon. Defeat him and you will receive TM99, Breaking Swipe, the Dragon Badge, the Dragon Uniform and the ability to capture Pok�mon up to Level 100.
