ASSIGNMENT 1

1. A load of mass 1.5 kgs is projected up a rough plane inclined at 30° to the horizontal with
a velocity 4 m/s. Given that 𝜇 = 0.2, find the distance the particle moves up the plane
before coming to rest.
2. A block of mass 0.5kg travels with a speed 2𝑚/𝑠 2 in the x-direction on a flat frictionless
surface. On passing through O, it experiences a constant force of 3 N at an angle of 60°
relative to the x-axis for 1.5 seconds. Find velocity of the block at the end of this time.
