Along the banks of Lake Superior, Essentia Health's St. Mary's Medical Center redefines the patient experience and challenges contemporary #healthcaredesign strategies with bold, innovative, and sustainable solutions. Our design team and partners envisioned a hospital environment that is comfortable, welcoming, and efficient for patients, families, and staff. Its iconic façade pays homage to the rolling fog of the largest lake in the world and provides striking views throughout each of its 19 floors. Its public areas have the engaging warmth of hospitality spaces, and its patient-centric design drives impactful outcomes by consolidating adaptable inpatient rooms, procedure rooms, and flexibly planned outpatient spaces. At nearly a million SF and the length of 2 football fields, this monumental hospital remains a community-based hospital that puts patients and families first. https://lnkd.in/efCAe96x

Join us at the COAA (Construction Owners Association of America) Connect on November 20, where EwingCole's Keith Fallon and ECBuild's Ivan Kuncheff will present "Vintage Infrastructure Reinvestment: A Design-Build Case Study." When Southern Methodist University sought to modernize 12 residence halls on their Dallas campus, they opted for Design-Build (D-B) delivery for only the second time in their history. This strategic decision facilitated a more coordinated, thoughtful approach that proved essential for project success. Discover why D-B was the right choice for SMU and how these valuable insights can benefit other Owners. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from real-world experience! https://ow.ly/yqzk50U3ixP #COAAConnect #DesignBuild #HigherEducation #EwingCole #ECBuild

Cobbs Creek Golf Club is more than a historic course—it’s a Philadelphia legacy, once celebrated as a home to pioneering Black and female golfers. When the Cobbs Creek Foundation set out to restore this treasured landmark, they aimed to make it a welcoming public space while preserving its rich history. EwingCole’s design for the new Driving Range facility embraces this vision. Instead of a traditional clubhouse, we created modern, accessible spaces that blend with the site’s heritage. Highlights include a restaurant, bar, event space, pro shop, heritage center, and outdoor hitting bays—all thoughtfully designed with a warm, industrial aesthetic that honors the course’s past while looking to the future. We’re proud to play a part in revitalizing Cobbs Creek and creating a vibrant community hub. https://lnkd.in/e2VKqVjD #EwingCole #Architecture #CobbsCreek #CommunityDesign #GolfCourse #Philadelphia #HistoricPreservation #DesignMatters #PublicSpace
