Effective student housing for #highereducation students requires collaboration. We recently partnered with the National League of Cities and International Town-Gown Association to conduct a student housing survey spanning the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. “The U.S., Canada, and the U.K. have a recognizable student housing shortage. This deficit is outpacing the capacity of local governments, developers, and financial institutions to meet the expanding community needs,” says Senior Principal and Global Higher Education Leader Stuart Rothenberger, AIA, LEED AP. We’re committed to providing actionable intelligence and #design solutions to contemporary challenges. Here’s how our research is building bridges between higher education leadership and local officials: https://lnkd.in/givBw7YB

In today's evolving workplace, the significance of ergonomics is more critical than ever. But, what does ergonomics mean? Read more here:
Excellent article by my colleague Susan Orlandi about the emerging concept of emotional ergonomics. The event in conjunction with Haworth included some of my favorite people talking about what they know well - employee health and wellbeing in the workplace. It is a quick read and it offers new thoughts that we are not seeing everywhere. DLR Group #workplace #userhealth #userexperience

#Masstimber #design is having its moment, and for good reason. Driven by climate, purpose, and community, each new development leans into the unique context of its site and visually plays a role in its neighborhood. So, let's talk façade. The #T3 concept from Hines was a response to the growing demand for local #authenticity, #sustainability, and connectivity. Since working on the very first T3 in Minneapolis, we're now designing them around the United States and Canada. And at each location, we have the opportunity to tailor the façade to reflect the surrounding community. So, to round out our month covering the latest on this material and approach, we're ending with the last layer of these buildings. Discover the many faces of mass timber here:
