CT Scan came back clear, headache is still present though. Spent nearly 13 hours in bed, just sleeping on and off. Glad work has been very understanding!

Attempt was made. The recipe said to simmer the tomato base for five minutes and it should be ready for the eggs, but because I used crushed tomatoes, it took longer. Will report back after taste test. I'm just glad I actually made something, even if the capsicum wasn't julienned.

Meeting with the place I do contract work for just finished. I asked for a bigger fee % for most types of projects I handle for them, plus now was the time to go for it with their resource shortages. I was pretty nervous about this meeting, but prepared and I made my case. Now I wait to hear what they say. If they say no, then I’ll just pick up less new projects and they can deal with the resource shortfall themselves. It’s not going to become my problem when they don’t incentivise me.

I found the pic I took of one of the strays the day before I started feeding them. They were mostly still kittens.

They grow up so fast hey

I have rum, dried mint, and tarot cards available. Think they might help?

It works perfectly except having to stop/start with the power switch all of a sudden. Bloody bizarre.

Sacrifice a black chicken. Use the feathers to oil the machine. It’s nearly still the full moon so maybe that will help. Would recommend using henbane or wolfsbane rather than dried mint. Drink the rum, and then you won’t care. Put the tarot cards away in case they get hurt.

That only applies to mechanical sewing machines. The ritual for the computerised ones is ‘turn it off, then turn it on again’. If this ritual doesn’t work drinking the rum is still the appropriate next step.

Put frozen chicken on its side in a stock pot. Add full jar of honey, and about a litre of low salt soy sauce (Aldi!) to cover chicken. Add cold water if you don’t have quite enough to cover the bird. Drop in about a hands worth of peeled garlic cloves. Bring up to a simmer very very slowly, then simmer for 1 hour, turning chook over half way. Be sure to simmer very gently. Retrieve chicken and sacrifice by eating it however you wish. Hot or cold. It will be blaaaack and yummmmmm irrespective of feather colour. Strain and save the liquid and freeze in cubes to add to soups stews etc. It will set to a jelly if you don’t want to freeze it right away. The chicken meat done this way is damn good (best tacos ever!) but the real joy is the liquid - it’s AMAZING as an ingredient.

That sounds delicious. I’ve always loved the jelly in even a leftover chook.

Machine still being stupid. Mechanic required.

I’m watching curling. I have no idea what’s going on. There’s a lot of yelling and frantic sweeping.

Melbcat is still resting a lot in her bed and a bit off her food. I wonder if it’s nausea, the heat or the stress of another cat being around. At other times she’s lounging at the door and crying to go out, probably hoping to punch on.

I took some wet food out to the black cat with nutritional yeast on top for a vitamin boost and to encourage him to eat. He reluctantly licked it once then walked away giving his tail a single flick. Bro, you’re so malnourished you’re getting bald spots. Eat. It could be he prefers dry food or needs a stinkier food to smell it properly.

I’m surprised at it because of how thin he is, and think maybe cat flu has dulled his appetite?

It’s the Smitten homebrand from Woolies in beef so maybe something in fish might work

Yeah I got rid of it and put out the rest plain with some dry food

Edit: I could try roast chicken but don’t want to let Melbcat smell something delicious she’s allergic to

Convinced the team to go to a nice winery for a tour and lunch because why not? There is every possibility we could actually do something there so you could say it’s justified. They were impressed at the very least
