Searching for hidden sectors in multiparticle production at the LHC / Sanchis-Lozano, Miguel-Angel (Valencia U., IFIC ; Valencia U.) ; Sarkisyan-Grinbaum, Edward K. (CERN ; Texas U., Arlington) ; Moreno-Picot, Salvador (Valencia U.)
We study the impact of a hidden sector beyond the Standard Model, e.g. a Hidden Valley model, on factorial moments and cumulants of multiplicity distributions in multiparticle production with a special emphasis on the prospects for LHC results..

Searching for hidden sectors in multiparticle production at the LHC / Sanchis-Lozano, Miguel-Angel (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Sarkisyan-Grinbaum, Edward (Texas U., Arlington ; CERN)
Most signatures of new physics in colliders have been studied so far on the transverse plane with respect to the beam direction. In this work however we study the impact of a hidden sector beyond the Standard Model (SM) on inclusive (pseudo)rapidity correlations and moments of the multiplicity distributions, with special emphasis in the LHC results..

Probing new physics at DUNE operating in a beam-dump mode / Brdar, Vedran (Fermilab ; Northwestern U.) ; Dutta, Bhaskar (Texas A-M) ; Jang, Wooyoung (DAPNIA, Saclay ; Brookhaven ; Texas U., Arlington) ; Kim, Doojin (Texas A-M) ; Shoemaker, Ian M. (Virginia Tech.) ; Tabrizi, Zahra (Northwestern U.) ; Thompson, Adrian (Texas A-M) ; Yu, Jaehoon (DAPNIA, Saclay ; Brookhaven ; Texas U., Arlington ; CERN)
In this work we demonstrate that a future accelerator-based neutrino experiment such as DUNE can greatly increase its sensitivity to a variety of new physics scenarios by operating in a mode where the proton beam impinges on a beam dump. We consider two new physics scenarios, namely light dark matter (LDM) and axion-like particles (ALPs) and show that by utilizing a dump mode at a DUNE-like experiment, unexplored new regions of parameter space can be probed with an exposure of only 3 months with half of its expected initial beam power. A correlated-cluster model and the ridge phenomenon in hadron–hadron collisions / Sanchis-Lozano, Miguel-Angel (Valencia U., IFIC ; Valencia U.) ; Sarkisyan-Grinbaum, Edward (CERN ; Texas U., Arlington)
A study of the near-side ridge phenomenon in hadron-hadron collisions based on a cluster picture of multiparticle production is presented. The near-side ridge effect is shown to have a natural explanation in this context provided that clusters are produced in a correlated manner in the collision transverse plane..
