The ATLAS Trigger and Data Acquisition (TDAQ) system is responsible for the online processing of live data, streaming from the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. The online farm is composed of ̃3000 servers, processing the data readout from ̃100 million detector channels through multiple trigger levels. [...]

Spanish ATLAS Tier-1 &Tier-2 perspective on computing over the next years
/ ATLAS Collaboration
Since the beginning of the WLCG Project the Spanish ATLAS computer centres have contributed with reliable and stable resources as well as personnel for the ATLAS Collaboration. Our contribution to the ATLAS Tier2s and Tier1s computing resources (disk and CPUs) in the last 10 years has been around 5%, even though the Spanish contribution to the ATLAS detector construction as well as the number of authors are both close to 3%. [...]

Scalable and fail-safe deployment of the ATLAS Distributed Data Management system Rucio
/ Lassnig, Mario (CERN) ; Vigne, Ralph (Institut fuer Astro- und Teilchenphysik der Leopold-Franzens-Universitaet Innsbruck) ; Barisits, Martin-Stefan (CERN) ; Beermann, Thomas Alfons (Bergische Universitaet (Wuppertal), Fachbereich Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften) ; Serfon, Cedric (CERN) ; Garonne, Vincent (University of Oslo)
This contribution details the deployment of Rucio, the ATLAS Distributed Data Management system. The main complication is that Rucio interacts with a wide variety of external services, and connects globally distributed data centres under different technological and administrative control, at an unprecedented data volume. [...]

gFEX, the ATLAS Calorimeter Global Feature Extractor
/ Takai, Helio (Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL)) (+) ; Begel, Michael (Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL)) (+) ; Chen, Hucheng (Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL)) (+)
The global feature extractor (gFEX) is a component of the Level-1 Calorimeter trigger Phase-I upgrade for the ATLAS experiment. It is intended to identify patterns of energy associated with the hadronic decays of high momentum Higgs, W, & Z bosons, top quarks, and exotic particles in real time at the LHC crossing rate. [...]

Monitoring and controlling ATLAS data management: The Rucio web user interface
/ Lassnig, Mario (CERN) ; Beermann, Thomas Alfons (Bergische Universitaet (Wuppertal), Fachbereich Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften) ; Barisits, Martin-Stefan (CERN) ; Serfon, Cedric (CERN) ; Vigne, Ralph (Institut fuer Astro- und Teilchenphysik der Leopold-Franzens-Universitaet Innsbruck) ; Garonne, Vincent (University of Oslo)
The monitoring and controlling interfaces of the previous data management system DQ2 followed the evolutionary requirements and needs of the ATLAS collaboration. The new system, Rucio, has put in place a redesigned web-based interface based upon the lessons learnt from DQ2, and the increased volume of managed information. [...]
