All-orders behaviour and renormalons in top-mass observables / Ferrario Ravasio, Silvia (Milan Bicocca U. ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Nason, Paolo (CERN ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Oleari, Carlo (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.)
We study a simplified model of top production and decay, consisting in a virtual vector boson $W^*$ decaying into a massive-massless $t$-$\bar{b}$ quark-antiquark pair. The top has a finite width and further decays into a stable vector boson $W$ and a $b$ quark. [...]

Light-quark masses and renormalons / Kataev, A.L. (CERN ; Moscow, INR)
A brief review of the problem of the determination of light-quark masses from QCD sum rules for the correlators of scalar and pseudoscalar currents is given. Special attention is paid to the description of the large-$N_f$ results, obtained in collaboration with Broadhurst and Maxwell, for the scalar correlator, and estimates of its higher-order perturbative uncertainties within the renormalon-inspired large-$\beta_0$ expansion in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ scheme are given. On factorisation schemes for the electron parton distribution functions in QED / Frixione, Stefano (INFN, Genoa ; CERN)
The electron, positron, and photon Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs) of the unpolarised electron have recently been computed at the next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy in QED, by adopting the $\overline{\rm MS}$ factorisation scheme. We present here analogous results, obtained by working in a different framework that is inspired by the so-called DIS scheme. [...]

Heavy-flavor hadro-production with heavy-quark masses renormalized in the ${\overline{\rm MS}}$, MSR and on-shell schemes / Garzelli, M.V. (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II) ; Kemmler, L. (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II) ; Moch, S. (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II ; MTA-DE, Debrecen) ; Zenaiev, O. (CERN)
We present predictions for heavy-quark production at the Large Hadron Collider making use of the ${\overline{\rm MS}}$ and MSR renormalization schemes for the heavy-quark mass as alternatives to the widely used on-shell renormalization scheme. We compute single and double differential distributions including QCD corrections at next-to-leading order and investigate the renormalization and factorization scale dependence as well as the perturbative convergence in these mass renormalization schemes. Reference results for time-like evolution up to $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^3)$ / Bertone, Valerio (CERN) ; Carrazza, Stefano (CERN ; INFN, Milan ; Milan U.) ; Nocera, Emanuele R. (Genoa U. ; INFN, Genoa) /APFEL Collaboration
We present high-precision numerical results for time-like Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi evolution in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ factorisation scheme, for the first time up to next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy in quantum chromodynamics. First, we scrutinise the analytical expressions of the splitting functions available in the literature, in both x and N space, and check their mutual consistency. [...]

MiNNLO$_{\text{PS}}$: A new method to match NNLO QCD to parton showers / Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN) ; Nason, Paolo (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Re, Emanuele (CERN ; Annecy, LAPTH) ; Wiesemann, Marius (CERN ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Zanderighi, Giulia (Munich, Max Planck Inst.)
We present a novel method to combine QCD calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) with parton shower (PS) simulations, that can be applied to the production of heavy systems in hadronic collisions, such as colour singlets or a $t\bar{t}$ pair. The NNLO corrections are included by connecting the MiNLO$^\prime$ method with transverse-momentum resummation, and they are calculated at generation time without any additional reweighting, making the algorithm considerably efficient. Two-loop anomalous dimensions for small-$R$ jet versus hadronic fragmentation functions / van Beekveld, Melissa (Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; Dasgupta, Mrinal (Manchester U.) ; El-Menoufi, Basem Kamal (Manchester U. ; Monash U.) ; Helliwell, Jack (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Karlberg, Alexander (CERN) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN)
We study the collinear fragmentation of highly energetic jets defined with a small jet radius. In particular, we investigate how the corresponding fragmentation functions differ from their hadronic counterpart defined in the common $\overline{\rm MS}$ scheme. [...]

The Sudakov radiator for jet observables and the soft physical coupling / Banfi, Andrea (Sussex U.) ; El-Menoufi, Basem Kamal (Sussex U.) ; Monni, Pier Francesco (CERN)
We present a procedure to calculate the Sudakov radiator for a generic recursive infrared and collinear (rIRC) safe observable in two-scale problems. We give closed formulae for the radiator at next-to-next-to-leading-logarithmic (NNLL) accuracy, which completes the general NNLL resummation for this class of observables in the {\tt ARES} method for processes with two emitters at the Born level. |V$_{cb}$| from inclusive semileptonic B decays / Ball, Patricia (CERN)
We determine $|V_{cb}|$ from inclusive semileptonic B decays including resummation of supposedly large perturbative corrections, which originate from the running of the strong coupling. We argue that the low value of the BLM scale found previously for inclusive decays is a manifestation of the renormalon divergence of the perturbative series starting already in third order. [...]
