Software License Agreement

Ascom Network Testing AB, reg. no. 556759-2521, 932 83 Ursviken, Sweden ("Licensor") licenses the accompanying software (hereinafter Software) to you only upon the condition that you accept all of the terms and conditions in this Software License Agreement ("SLA"). Please read the terms and conditions carefully before installing and using the Software. 1.0 DEFINITIONS
"Confidential Information" means any information of a proprietary or confidential nature disclosed or otherwise provided to you by Licensor in connection with the Software. "Licensee" or "you," means the corporate entity licensing the Software under the terms of this SLA. "Materials" means the documentation, modifications, subsequent versions, diagnostic software, prior versions support materials, and manuals provided by Licensor with or for use in conjunction with the Software with which it was delivered. "Software" means Program and Third-Party Software, along with each and every one of its components, including but not limited to Materials, Confidential Information, and other materials delivered to Licensee herein. "Program" means the proprietary software of Licensor. Third-Party Software means all software (including its accompanying Materials) delivered to Licensee herein, which is not a Program. Trial Period means the trial period for a Trial Version to be agreed separately. Trial Version means Software indicated by Licensor as a trial version. 2.0 LICENSE
2.1 Scope: Licensor hereby grants Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license (without the right to sub-license or assign) for the following purposes: a. To use the Software solely for the purpose of plan, design, rollout, verify, optimize, troubleshoot and/or analyze communication networks and for no other purpose. This license is provided by Licensor to the Licensee only, and is expressly limited to use by the Licensee, its employees, and agents using it on Licensee's behalf, provided that such employees and agents comply with the terms of this SLA. Licensee assumes full responsibility and liability for compliance with all of the terms and conditions of this SLA by its employees and agents. Licensor may license the Software in the following ways: single user license or concurrent user license. The specific license applicable to this SLA is agreed separately. Depending upon the type of license agreed, one or more

of the following terms (1-2) shall apply. Should no agreement exist on the type of license including the number of users, the license is for one single user only: 1. If the agreed license is for a specified number of single users, you may copy the Software into the local memory or storage device of the number of computers agreed upon separately and actually paid for by you. 2. If the agreed license is for concurrent users, you may copy the Software into the local memory or storage device accessible by the number of concurrent users agreed upon separately and the actual payment for concurrent use made to Licensor. If more users have access to the local memory or storage device where the Software will be stored, Licensee agrees to limit the number of concurrent users to that agreed upon separately. If Licensor has made available to Licensee information reasonably necessary to achieve interoperability of the Software with other operating systems and/or platforms, Licensee further agrees that the provision of such information shall not act to expand the foregoing license, either directly or by implication, nor shall it provide any exception to the Limitations on Use enumerated in Section 2.2, below. For Trial Versions of the Software the Licensee hereby agrees to that, at the end of the Trial Period, all copies of all of the Materials, Programs, Confidential Information and Third-Party Software included are no longer being used by Licensee and are either removed from the Licensees computer system or are otherwise made unusable after the end of the Trial Period. No other right is granted by this SLA, either expressly, by implication, or otherwise.
2.2 Limitations on Use. In addition to all other limitations in this section and this SLA, you expressly agree that you shall not: a. Make any copies of the Software or any component of the Software, other than those specifically authorized in Section 2.1 of this SLA (if your CD ROM becomes damaged and additional copies are necessary, please contact Licensor); b. Modify the Software in any way; c. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or reverse assemble the Software or any of its components to the extent Licensor can prohibit such acts by law; d. Remove any Licensor (or Third-Party Software) copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Software or any Third-Party Software included with it; e. Create derivative works or other versions of the Software; f. Distribute or otherwise make available the Software, any component of the Software or any Materials provided with the Software, directly or indirectly, for any use by any other person or entity; g. Transfer the Software or any part of the Software, including the Materials, except as expressly authorized in writing by Licensor; h. Modify or render inoperable any hardware or software key, or other encryption device or code required to use the Software; i. Modify or render inoperable any license management software included with the Software;

Assign any part or all of Licensee's rights under this SLA.
2.3 Ownership: a. b. Licensee acknowledges that the Software includes proprietary information which is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and international treaties. Licensee acknowledges that the Software is an unpublished work which contains valuable trade secrets and other confidential and proprietary information of Licensor, that Licensor derives independent economic benefits from its ownership and use of the Software, and that Licensor maintains the Software in confidence and uses reasonable precautions to protect the Software from unauthorized use or disclosure. Licensor's trade secrets and confidential information include but are not limited to: (1) the development status of the Software; (2) the functionality of the Software; (3) the appearance, content, and flow of the Software's screens; (4) the method and pattern of user interaction with the Software; and (5) the content of the Materials provided with the Software. Licensor retains all title and ownership rights in the Software and its components, and all of the updates, documentation, changes, modifications, subsequent versions, diagnostic software, support materials, manuals, and other Materials, all of which contain Licensor proprietary or confidential information. The Software, the Materials, and any Licensor proprietary rights pertaining thereto (including all patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and service marks), remain the exclusive property of Licensor and no title is granted to you in conjunction with this SLA. Licensee agrees that no title or other ownership right (except the explicit license granted herein) to the Software (including but not limited to the components of the Software, any intellectual property rights in the Software or its components, or copies of the Software or any components of the Software) is transferred by this SLA.

2.4 Licensee's Additional Obligations: a. Licensee agrees to properly secure the Software and all other aspects of the Software and agrees not to use the Software in any manner inconsistent with this SLA, including, but not limited to, making the Software available to third parties without Licensor's prior written consent. Licensee agrees to hold the Software, including but not limited to, the Materials, in trust and confidence for Licensor during the term of this SLA and thereafter for a period of five years, and consents to the subsequent destruction or return of the material at Licensor's option, after expiration of the license. Licensee agrees that it maintains or will maintain adequate internal procedures, including appropriate binding agreements with its employees and agents, to protect Licensor's proprietary information in a reasonable manner, but with no less degree of care than Licensee uses to protect its own confidential or proprietary information.

2.5 Limitations to Confidentiality Obligations. Licensee shall have no obligation under Section 2.4 of this SLA as to information in the Software that Licensee can prove through independent evidence:

was known to Licensee at the time of disclosure by Licensor, and for which Licensee is under no duty of confidentiality to Licensor or any third party; is independently developed by Licensee, provided Licensee can show by documentary evidence that such development was accomplished by Licensee or on Licensee's behalf without the use of or reference to Confidential Information supplied to Licensee by Licensor; becomes rightfully known to Licensee from a source other than Licensor, which source is without a confidentiality restriction on disclosure or use; or is or becomes part of the public domain through no wrongful act of Licensee or another person or entity.
2.6 Disclosure Pursuant to Order of Court. If Licensee is ordered by a judicial or governmental body to disclose Licensor's Confidential Information, such disclosure may occur only if Licensee gives Licensor at least ten (10) days' written notice prior to such disclosure (or any longer period reasonably necessary to allow Licensor to act under the circumstances) so Licensor may either (1) contest the order or (2) obtain a protective order or writ preventing disclosure pursuant to such order. 2.7 Third-Party Software. The Software include Third-Party Software consisting of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition which is licensed by Microsoft Corporation and is subject to individual terms and conditions which are attached to this SLA as Appendix A. Please review any such agreement carefully before installing and using the Software. If the provisions of any Third-Party Software license agreement conflicts with the provisions of this SLA, the provisions of this SLA shall have precedence if more restrictive towards Licensee. 3.0 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
3.1 General Disclaimer. UNLESS OTHERWISE EXPLICITLY AGREED IN WRITING BETWEEN LICENSOR OR AUTHORIZED LICENSOR RESELLER AND LICENSEE, WITH REGARDS TO THE SOFTWARE, LICENSOR HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND/OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ARISING OUT OF, THE COURSE OF DEALING BETWEEN LICENSEE AND LICENSOR, CUSTOM, OR USAGE OF THE TRADE. 3.2 Limitation of Liability. IN NO EVENT WILL LICENSOR BE LIABLE HEREUNDER TO LICENSEE OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY FOR ANY CLAIM, LOSS, OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS SLA OR ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH (1) THE DEFICIENCY OR INADEQUACY OF THE SOFTWARE FOR ANY PURPOSE WHETHER OR NOT KNOWN OR DISCLOSED TO LICENSEE; (2) THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE OR OF ANY FILES, DATA, OR COMPUTER SYSTEMS RELATING THERETO OR USED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; (3) ANY INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF SERVICE OR USE OF THE SOFTWARE; (4) ANY ERROR; OR (5) ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, SALES, BUSINESS, DATA, OR OTHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND OR NATURE RESULTING FROM THE FOREGOING, AND NOTWITHSTANDING ANY FAILURE OF

ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR'S LIABILITY TO LICENSEE HEREUNDER EXCEED THE LICENSE FEES ACTUALLY PAID BY LICENSEE FOR THE LICENSES PROVIDED HEREUNDER, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY IS ASSERTED ON THE BASIS OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, PRODUCT LIABILITY, AND STRICT LIABILITY), OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF LICENSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 3.3 No Warranty or Representations as to Intellectual Property Rights of Third Parties. LICENSOR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OF NONINFRINGEMENT OF ANY PATENT, TRADEMARK, COPYRIGHT, OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF ANY THIRD PARTY. 4.0 MISCELLANEOUS
4.1 Independent Parties. The parties to this SLA are independent entities. Nothing in this SLA shall be construed as creating a joint venture, partnership, agency, or employment relationship between Licensor and Licensee, its employees, or agents. 4.2 Export Controls. In the event that the provision of the Software or any part thereof is prohibited by export control laws or regulations, then: (i) Licensor shall have no obligation whatsoever to deliver the Software or any part thereof to Licensee; (ii) Licensor shall have no liability to Licensee or any third party for its failure to deliver the Software or any part thereof to Licensee; and (iii) in the event Licensee has paid any amount to Licensor, that amount shall, at Licensor's option, either be refunded or credited against any outstanding amounts due from Licensee. 4.3 Severability/Unenforceable Provisions. In the event that any provision of this SLA is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, invalid, or illegal in any respect, the remaining provisions of this SLA shall be enforceable to the maximum extent possible. 4.4 Headings. The section headings used in this SLA are intended for reference purposes only, and shall not affect the interpretation or construction of any provision of this SLA. 4.5 Consent to Use of Non-Personal Data. The Licensee agrees that the Licensor and its subsidiaries may collect and use technical and related information, including but not limited to information about your hardware, system and software, and peripherals, that is gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, Software support and other services to Licensee (if any) related to the Software, and to verify compliance with this SLA. Licensor may use this information, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you, to improve Softwares of Licensor or to provide services or technologies to Licensee. 4.6 Force Majeure. Neither party shall be responsible for any delay or failure to perform obligations specified in this SLA due to causes beyond the party's reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, civil disturbances, embargoes, parts shortages, manufacturing difficulties, riots, wars, fires, acts of God, and acts in compliance with any applicable law, regulation, or order (whether valid or invalid) of

any governmental authority. 4.7 Complete Agreement. This SLA represents the sole and exclusive SLA between the parties, and supersedes and cancels any previous agreement, whether written or oral, between the parties with respect to the subject matter of this SLA. Neither party shall be bound by any term, provision, condition, definition, guarantee, or representation other than those set forth herein. 4.8 Waiver. The failure of either party to enforce any section or part of this SLA, or any right under this SLA, shall not be construed as a waiver of such provision or right to subsequently enforce that or any other provision of this SLA. 4.9 Assignment. Licensee may not assign either this SLA (in whole or part) or any of the rights or obligations arising from it without the express, written consent of Licensor. Any attempted assignment shall be null and void. Licensor may assign this SLA in whole or part, including any specific rights or obligations of Licensor hereunder. 4.10 Applicable Law/Obligation and consent to Jurisdiction. The parties agree that this SLA is governed by the laws of Sweden excluding its principles of conflict of laws. All disputes between the parties arising out of or in connection with this SLA shall be finally settled under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, in Stockholm, Sweden, by one or more arbitrators appointed in accordance with the said Rules and the proceedings shall be conducted in the English language. The parties undertake and agree that all arbitral proceedings conducted under this article shall be kept strictly confidential, and all information, documentation, materials in whatever form disclosed in the in the course of such arbitral proceeding shall be used solely for the purpose of those proceedings. All arbitral awards may if necessary be enforced by any court having jurisdiction in the same manner as a judgment in such court.

Please read them. They apply to the software named above, which includes the media on which you received it, if any. The terms also apply to any Microsoft updates, supplements, and Internet-based services for this software, unless other terms accompany those items. If so, those terms apply. Microsoft Corporation or one of its affiliates (collectively, Microsoft) has licensed the software to Licensor. BY USING THE SOFTWARE, YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THEM, DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE. INSTEAD, RETURN IT TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A REFUND OR CREDIT. These terms supersede any electronic terms which may be contained within the software. If any of the terms contained within the software conflict with these terms, these terms will control. IF YOU COMPLY WITH THESE LICENSE TERMS, YOU HAVE THE RIGHTS BELOW FOR EACH SOFTWARE LICENSE YOU ACQUIRE. 1. OVERVIEW. a. Software. The software includes server software; and additional software that may only be used with the server software directly, or indirectly through other additional software. b. License Model. The software is licensed based on the number of instances of server software that you run; and the number of devices and users that access instances of server software. c. Licensing Terminology. Instance. You create an instance of software by executing the softwares setup or install procedure. You also create an instance of software by duplicating an existing instance. References to software in this agreement include instances of the software.

Run an Instance. You run an instance of software by loading it into memory and executing one or more of its instructions. Once running, an instance is considered to be running (whether or not its instructions continue to execute) until it is removed from memory. Operating System Environment. An operating system environment is: all or part of an operating system instance, or all or part of a virtual (or otherwise emulated) operating system instance which enables separate machine identity (primary computer name or similar unique identifier) or separate administrative rights, and instances of applications, if any, configured to run on the operating system instance or parts identified above. There are two types of operating system environments, physical and virtual. A physical operating system environment is configured to run directly on a physical hardware system. The operating system instance used to run hardware virtualization software (e.g. Microsoft Virtual Server or similar technologies) or to provide hardware virtualization services (e.g. Microsoft virtualization technology or similar technologies) is considered part of the physical operating system environment. A virtual operating system environment is configured to run on a virtual (or otherwise emulated) hardware system. A physical hardware system can have either or both of the following: one physical operating system environment one or more virtual operating system environments.

USE RIGHTS. Server. A server is a physical hardware system capable of running server software. A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate physical hardware system. Assigning a License. To assign a license means simply to designate that license to one device or user. a. Assigning the License to the Server. i. Before you run any instance of the server software under a software license, you must assign that license to one of your servers. That server is the licensed server for that particular license. You may assign other software licenses to the same server, but you may not assign the same license to more than one server. A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate server. ii. You may reassign a software license, but not within 90 days of the last assignment. You may reassign a software license sooner if you retire the licensed server due to permanent hardware failure. If you reassign a license, the server to which you reassign the license becomes the new licensed server for that license. b. Running Instances of the Server Software. You may run any number of

instances of the server software in one physical or virtual operating system environment on the licensed server at a time. Running Instances of the Additional Software. You may run or otherwise use any number of instances of additional software listed below in physical or virtual operating system environments on any number of devices solely to support your use of the integrated software turnkey application or suite of applications (the Unified Solution) delivered by or on behalf of the Licensor. You may use additional software only with the server software directly or indirectly through other additional software. Business Intelligence Development Studio Client Tools Backward Compatibility Client Tools Connectivity Client Tools Software Development Kit Management Studio Microsoft Sync Framework SQL Server 2008 Books Online Creating and Storing Instances on Your Servers or Storage Media. You have the additional rights below for each software license you acquire. You may create any number of instances of the server software and additional software. You may store instances of the server software and additional software on any of your servers or storage media. You may create and store instances of the server software and additional software solely to exercise your right to run instances of the server software under any of your software licenses as described (e.g., you may not distribute instances to third parties). Included Microsoft Programs. The software contains other Microsoft programs. The license terms with those programs apply to your use of them.

ADDITIONAL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS AND/OR USE RIGHTS. a. Client Access Licenses (CALs). i. You must acquire and assign a SQL Server 2008 CAL to each device or user that accesses your instances of the server software directly or indirectly. A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device. You may not access instances of the server software under Workgroup Edition CALs. You may use your Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2008 CAL Suite for Premium Users or Devices instead of SQL Server 2008 CALs to access your instances of the server software within an SBS 2008 domain. You may use your Windows Essential Business Server (EBS) 2008 CAL Suite for Premium Users or Devices instead of SQL

Server 2008 CALs to access your instances of the server software within an EBS domain. You do not need CALs for any of your servers licensed to run instances of the server software. You do not need CALs for up to two devices or users to access your instances of the server software only to administer those instances. Your CALs permit access to your instances of earlier versions, but not later versions, of the server software. If you are accessing instances of an earlier version, you may also use CALs corresponding to that version. ii. Types of CALs. There are two types of CALs: one for devices and one for users. Each device CAL permits one device, used by any user, to access instances of the server software on your licensed servers. Each user CAL permits one user, using any device, to access instances of the server software on your licensed servers. You may use a combination of device and user CALs. iii. Reassignment of CALs. You may permanently reassign your device CAL from one device to another, or your user CAL from one user to another; or temporarily reassign your device CAL to a loaner device while the first device is out of service, or your user CAL to a temporary worker while the user is absent. b. Runtime-Restricted Use Software. The software is Runtime-Restricted Use software; as such, it may only be used in conjunction with the Unified Solution. The software may not be used either i. to develop any new software applications, ii. in conjunction with any software applications, databases or tables other than those contained in the unified solution, and/or iii. as a standalone software application. The foregoing provision, however, does not prohibit you from using a tool to run queries or reports from existing tables. A CAL permits you to access instances of only the Runtime-Restricted User version of the server software licensed and delivered to you as part of the Unified Solution, in accordance with the other terms of the agreement. c. Maximum Instances. The software or your hardware may limit the number of instances of the server software that can run in physical or virtual operating system environments on the server. d. Multiplexing. Hardware or software you use to pool connections, reroute information, and reduce the number of devices or users that directly access or use the software, or reduce the number of devices or users the software directly manages.

(sometimes referred to as multiplexing or pooling), does not reduce the number of licenses of any type that you need. No Separation of Server Software. You may not separate the server software for use in more than one operating system environment under a single license, unless expressly permitted. This applies even if the operating system environments are on the same physical hardware system. Fail-over Server. For any operating system environment in which you run instances of the server software, you may run up to the same number of passive fail-over instances in a separate operating system environment for temporary support. You may run the passive fail-over instances on a server other than the licensed server.

INTERNET-BASED SERVICES. Microsoft provides Internet-based services with the software. It may change or cancel them at any time. .NET FRAMEWORK AND POWERSHELL SOFTWARE. The software contains Microsoft .NET Framework and PowerShell software. These software components are part of Windows.

BENCHMARK TESTING. You must obtain Microsoft's prior written approval to disclose to a third party the results of any benchmark test of the software. However, this does not apply to the Windows components. For Microsoft .NET Framework see below. MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK. The software includes one or more components of the .NET Framework (.NET Components). You may conduct internal benchmark testing of those components. You may disclose the results of any benchmark test of those components, provided that you comply with the conditions set forth at http://go.microsoft.com/ fwlink/?LinkID=66406. Notwithstanding any other agreement you may have with Microsoft, if you disclose such benchmark test results, Microsoft shall have the right to disclose the results of benchmark tests it conducts of your products that compete with the applicable .NET Component, provided it complies with the same conditions set forth at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=66406. SCOPE OF LICENSE. The software is licensed, not sold. This agreement only gives you some rights to use the software. Licensor and Microsoft reserve all other rights. Unless applicable law gives you more rights despite this limitation, you may use the software only as expressly permitted in this agreement. In doing so, you must comply with any technical limitations in the software that only allow you to use it in certain ways. For more information, see www.microsoft.com/licensing/userights. You may not

work around any technical limitations in the software; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except and only to the extent that applicable law expressly permits, despite this limitation; make more copies of the software than specified in this agreement or allowed by applicable law, despite this limitation; publish the software for others to copy; rent, lease or lend the software; or use the software for commercial software hosting services. Rights to access the software on any device do not give you any right to implement Microsoft patents or other Microsoft intellectual property in software or devices that access that device. 9. BACKUP COPY. You may make one backup copy of the software media. You may use it only to create instances of the software.
10. DOCUMENTATION. Any person that has valid access to your computer or internal network may copy and use the documentation for your internal, reference purposes. 11. NOT FOR RESALE SOFTWARE. You may not sell software marked as NFR or Not for Resale. 12. ACADEMIC EDITION SOFTWARE. You must be a Qualified Educational User to use software marked as Academic Edition or AE. If you do not know whether you are a Qualified Educational User, visit www.microsoft.com/ education or contact the Microsoft affiliate serving your country. 13. TRANSFER TO ANOTHER DEVICE. About TEMS Visualization
TEMS Visualization quickly displays large volumes of data about calls made on an Ericsson network. The enhanced capabilities in TEMS Visualization let you switch between GSM or WCDMA modes to identify quality problems and congestion, see the effects of recent network changes, and get a better understanding of radio network behavior. You can analyze and identify problem spots, root causes, and troubleshoot to effect solutions. Following are some of the things you can do with TEMS Visualization: Import multiple files into one processed database. View and compare RF measurements, messages, and events for calls, including the flow of handovers for networks. See the network infrastructure of cells on a map, including serving cells, neighbors, and the flow of calls among cells. Perform IRAT analysis on WCDMA networks. See the events, radio environment, and geographical position of serving cells (R-PMO only). Perform advanced searches and bookmark calls. Identify abnormal events, such as drops, blocks, and handover failures. Browse through timeslot allocation for cells and examine call statistics for cells. Drill down through the data to identify issues faced by subscribers. Optimize neighbors (GPEH only) and create BulkCM files for neighbor changes. Analyze power usage and channel element usage with the WCDMA Resource Monitor. Analyze network response times using the Histogram. Search messages using the Histogram. Key Features
Following are some of the key features provided by TEMS Visualization. Additional information and instructions on how to use these features is in the remainder of the user manual and online help. Feature Call information Description You can view a wide range of information about the calls, including RF measurements, messages, events, and serving cells. You can see details of each cell, such as its location in the network, BCCH and BSIC, neighbors, timeslot allocation, TCH blocked and dropped calls, and more. Exception Analysis provides an overview about all the messages that occurred in the logfile and all the TEMS Visualization events that were generated during parsing of the logfile. Logfiles can be searched by originating cell, terminating cell, call result, and call ID, thus allowing you to quickly identify problem calls and cells. A map of the tested area highlights serving cells and neighbors, showing you where events and handovers occurred during recording. An efficient, streamlined mode design ensures that the correct data is displayed quickly. Licensing Information
TEMS Visualization software licenses are distributed using a HASP key that plugs into a USB port. TEMS Visualization can be ordered with licenses for GSM, WCDMA, and Tracing modules. TEMS Visualization automatically switches between GSM, WCDMA, and Tracing modules as you open TEMS Visualization databases. Two HASP licensing schemes are available with TEMS Visualization: NOTE: HASP SRM Time Key (black color) is used on a local computer HASP SRM NetTime Key (red color) is used within a LAN environment You can connect NetTime Key to any computer on the LAN as long as TEMS Visualization or the HASP SRM driver is installed on that computer.

TEMS Visualization can be ordered with a network license and installed on a Citrix Presentation server. Network users can then run TEMS Visualization through their Citrix Program Neighborhood application. The maximum number of users who can run TEMS Visualization concurrently through Citrix depends on the number of network licenses purchased and installed on the network HASP key.

Hardware Requirements
To use TEMS Visualization successfully, be sure that your PC meets the installation requirements described in the following sections.
2.1.1 Requirements for Running TEMS Visualization on a Local Computer

Installing TEMS Visualization with a HASP Key on a Local Computer
This section applies to the HASP HL Time key (black color). When the key is connected to the USB port of a computer and TEMS Visualization is installed, no further installation is required. NOTE: Use this option if you purchased a local license for TEMS Visualization. The key grants the user access to GSM, WCDMA, and/or Tracing software modes, depending on the users license agreement.

Installing a Network Key
This section applies to the HASP HL NetTime key (red color). When the network key is connected to the USB port of a computer and TEMS Visualization is installed, no further installation is required. When the network key is connected to the USB port of a machine, but TEMS Visualization cannot be installed, then a separate HASP driver must be installed. You can install the HASP driver by double-clicking the HASPUserSetup.exe file, which is found in the Pre-requisites folder of the installation disk. NOTE: If you have previously installed an earlier version of the HASP License Manager on the same computer, it will need to be uninstalled first. Uninstall the license by going to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs. In the Add/Remove Program window, select HASP License Manager from the list and click Remove.
To check whether the HASP drivers are installed correctly, do the following: 1. Connect the hardware key to the USB port. For a computer with TEMS Visualization installed, go to Programs > Ascom > TEMS Products > TEMS Visualization > HASP SRM Utilities > HASP Key Monitor. For a computer with a separate installation of the HASP driver, go to http://localhost:1947. The Admin Control Center Help page should come up by default.

2.3.1 Configuring Admin Control Center

The following section describes how to configure and access the Remote License Managers when remote users are not able to get licenses. Go to the Configuration/Access to Remote License Managers tab and perform the actions described in the following table. Checkbox Allow Access to Remote Licenses Broadcast Search for Remote Licenses Used for Selecting this checkbox will enable this machine to search for remote HASP License Managers on the network. Selecting this checkbox will enable this machine to search for remote HASP License Managers on the local network via broadcasts. If this checkbox is not selected, every machine on the local network that is to be searched must be specified in the Specify Search Parameters field. Selecting this checkbox will enable this machine to connect to remote HASP License Managers, even though they cannot be detected using UDP datagram search methods. Aggressive searching reduces the update frequency of remote HASP information, but may enable firewalls to be transversed. Defining the specific machines that may be searched by this machine for remote HASP License Managers. You must enter information in this field if you have not selected the Allow Access to Remote Licenses checkbox. Enter data as IP addresses (e.g., 10.1.1.17), broadcast addresses (e.g., 10.1.1.255), or machine names (e.g., hklm001.ecomp.com). Each entry must be on a separate line.

Remote access to the Admin Control Center settings is gained on the Configuration/Basic Settings tab. When the Allow Remote Access to ACC checkbox is selected, remote network users are enabled to access and perform actions on the Admin Control Center on this computer.

Installing TEMS Visualization on a Local Computer

1. 2. 3. 4. Plug the HASP license key into an available USB port. Place the CD in your CD drive. Display the contents of the CD in Windows Explorer and double-click Setup.exe to start the installation setup wizard. When prompted, click the Continue button to install required third-party components. Wait for the components to finish installing. When a message box indicating successful installation of third-party components is displayed, click OK to close it. At the Welcome to TEMS Visualization Setup Wizard window, click Next to continue. At the End-User License Agreement window, check I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next to continue. At the End-User Registration window, enter the user name and company name. Click Next to continue. At the Ready to install window, click Next to begin installation. A progress bar will appear to track the installation. When notified that the TEMS Visualization Professional Setup Wizard has completed, click Finish.

Starting TEMS Visualization
Start TEMS Visualization as indicated below. To start a local installation of TEMS Visualization, do the following: 1. Go to Start > Programs > TEMS Products > TEMS Visualization.
To start TEMS Visualization from the Citrix Program Neighborhood, do the following: 1. 2. NOTE: Run the Citrix Program Neighborhood application. Double-click the Visualization icon. TEMS Visualization should already be part of your application set. If you cant find the TEMS Visualization icon, contact your Citrix administrator.

Exiting TEMS Visualization Restarting TEMS Visualization
Select Exit from the File menu. The application and its views will close automatically.
When you restart the program, the selected cell file and map files remain in place. The state (open or closed), size, and position of the views are the same as when you exited the program.

Uninstalling TEMS Visualization

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs. On the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, select TEMS Visualization and click the Add/Remove button. Follow the instructions for removing the program.

Creating User Login on SQL Server
For installations where multiple users will work with TEMS Visualization (for example, remotely through Citrix), users must be given permission to create and delete database(s) on the SQL Server instance. This chapter describes how to do this. NOTES: Before following the steps below, ensure that SQL Server Management Studio has been installed during the installation of the SQL Server 2008 Standard edition. The following steps are done by the Administrator on the computer where the Citrix server is running and where TEMS Visualization with the SQL Server 2008 Standard edition is installed. To create new users and add permissions, do the following: 1. Log onto Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

On the Connect to Server window, type the requested details in the text fields. Click Connect. The Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio window will appear.

Expand the Security node on the left pane. Right-click the Logins node. Select New Login. The Login New window will appear.

Click Search. The Select User or Group window will appear.

Type the login name of the user in the object name text box (this is normally the Windows username). Click OK. A new username will be added or created. When you type the object name or the login name in the text box, the login name will automatically appear in the text box if it is stored in your local computer or the domain. Description Provides basic and advanced options for searching for calls in the logfile. You can search by cell (originating, terminating, serving), call result (blocked, dropped, or normal), or call ID. Consists of Database Summary, Result Output Period List, Cell List, and Pilot Pollution List. Provides statistical information per cell, per logfile, and per phone. Allows easy access to calls associated with the call statistics. Gives a pictorial view of all the timeslots of all the channels allocated to a cell/sector. Timeslots are color-coded by use, such as voice and BCCH. Provides information for analyzing system utility groups and information elements in the system utilization chart. Utilities
The Utility tool option on the main toolbar of the Task Manager application allows you to backup, restore, and delete the TEMS Visualization database(s), as described below. To delete a database from a SQL server instance, do the following: 1. Click Utilities > Database Management on the main toolbar or click the Utility icon at the top of the Task Manager toolbar. The TEMS Visualization Database Management window will appear.

Configuring Views
During your analyses of data - whether for calls or timeslot allocation - you can configure the views and perform other tasks that provide flexibility and allow you to isolate problem calls or cells for more comprehensive examination. For example, you can filter views, sort them, print, export, and perform other tasks. This chapter provides configuration procedures that can be done for all or some of the TEMS Visualization views. The ways of working with views are described in this chapter.

Opening a View Filtering a View
To open a view, click the desired toolbar button.
Filtering allows you to show and hide data on a view based on its relevance to a particular analysis. The items filtered out are only hidden, not deleted. Removing the filter causes the complete list of items to be displayed again. By adding conditions, you will narrow the range of cells to be filtered.

Printing a View
Every view in TEMS Visualization can be printed and previewed. To print a view, do the following: 1. 2. Click anywhere inside the view. Click the Print icon on the main toolbar (the view will be printed on the default printer that is set for your computer). To select a different printer or to change the number of copies or other properties before printing, select Print from the File menu.

Exporting a View
Every view in TEMS Visualization can be exported. Exporting views lets you save them in other formats. Select Export from the File menu. On the Export to dialog box, select a file name extension, location, and name for the file. Click Save.

Moving a View
To conserve space, you can place views on top of one another. A tab identifies each view in the stack. To move a view around the desktop, click the title bar of the view and drag it to another spot on the desktop.

To dock a view on the edge of the work area, click the title bar of the view and drag until it becomes fixed in a spot. To undock or float the view, drag it away from its docking spot.

Turning Auto Hiding On and Off
With auto hiding, a view slides out of the way when another view is moved over it. A tab identifies a view that is hidden. To show the view, pause the mouse pointer over the tab. To turn on auto hiding for a view, dock it first and then click the Auto Hide button so it looks like this: To auto hide all views, go to the Windows menu and click Auto Hide All.
To turn off auto hiding, click the Auto Hide button so it looks like this: To turn off auto hiding for all views, go to the Windows menu and click Unhide All.

Locking a View
Locking views allows you to open multiple copies of the same view so you can compare data for multiple calls or timeslots. For example, you can open the Call Messages view for a dropped call, lock the view, and then open another copy of the view for a normal end call. This enables you to compare the messages for both calls. To lock a view, click the Lock View icon. These views can be locked: Call Messages Measurement Detail Timeslot Monitor
5.7.1 Using Locked Views

You must lock a view before opening another copy of the view. Locked views cannot be unlocked. A locked view must be closed. A locked view remains synchronized with other views for the same call. For example, when you select a data item on a locked view, the corresponding data item will be highlighted on the other views. A locked view is not updated when another call is selected.

Rearranging Columns
To rearrange the columns of a view, drag a column heading to a different position. The column remains in the new position when you lock or close the view, or when you exit TEMS Visualization. 5.13 Freezing a Column

Freezing a column keeps it fixed in place so you can see the data as you scroll through the remaining columns. You can freeze multiple columns. To freeze a column, click the Freeze button in a column heading. The button will change to look like this: and the frozen column will shift to the far left of the grid. To unfreeze a column, click the button so it looks like this:

To sort view data, click a column heading. The view will be sorted by the contents of the column. To reverse the sort order, click the column heading again. Configuring the Map
The Map View displays the geographical boundaries and cell infrastructure of the tested network. TEMS Visualization uses MapInfos MapExtreme map engine to display cells included in the event data recording. This makes it possible to reuse all the maps currently used in TEMS Investigation and MapInfo. The Map View can be customized in numerous ways, as described in the following sections.

Setting the Map Window

On the Map toolbar, click the Layer Control tool. In the Layer Control dialog box, select the map.

Cell File Data Sources
TEMS Visualization uses "old CNAI" format files as the basis for GSM cell files and BulkCM files as the basis for UTRAN cell files.
7.1.1 CNAI Data

The following example command line will export all cell parameter data for all cells in the GSM network via CNAI. cna_export NW=network_name, MSC=all, MSC_REF=none, BSC=all, BSC_REF=none, CELL=all, CELL_REF=ALL, OUTPUT=transport_file_name_1 In general, unlike the example above, only specific nodes will be exported to limit the size of the file and analysis area. Limiting the exported set can be done via an Object File. In the example above, the command line BSC=all should be changed to BSC="ObjectFileName.txt". The Object File should include the name of the BSCs to be exported (in the format ASCII text followed by space, tab or new-line). If the resulting file size is still an issue, then it is also possible to limit the cell parameters exported using a Parameter File. In the example above, the command line CELL_REF=all should be changed to CELL_REF="ParameterFileName.txt". The Parameter File should then contain the cell parameter names to be exported (in the format ASCII text followed by space, tab or new-line). Refer to the "CNAI, CNA Interface, User Guide" in the OSS documentation for more information. The "CNAI, CNA Interface, System Administrator Guide" lists all the default directory locations for transport file export and object and parameter files. An example script is also given for changing the directory locations and running the command line. This script can be setup to run periodically.

To create a Bulk CM export file, open the valid area in the WCDMA RAN explorer. Select Radio topology. Then right-click the Network/Export Configuration for the desired RNC(s). NOTE: In the BulkCM export file, ensure UtranRelation ID length is less than 255 characters. TEMS Visualization only supports UtranRelation ID length of up to 255 characters.

Cell File Creator
The Cell File Creator converts Bulk CM (WCDMA) and GSM Cell Configuration (CNAI) files into TEMS Visualization cell files. Bulk CM and CNAI files may not have latitude and longitude data. The Cell File Creator allows you to select a reference cell file to provide latitude and longitude data for the cells in the recording set. The Cell File Creator allows you to select whether the system configuration or the reference cell file has priority for the following fields: site position, antenna beamwidth, and antenna direction. For Bulk CM Files, you can identify the appropriate reference cell file by comparing either the Cell Name or the RNC-ID and Cell-ID from the bulk CM and reference cell files. For CNAI files, you can match by Cell Name or Cell ID.

To create a TEMS cell file, do the following: 1. 2. Select Cell File Creator from the Tools menu. The Cell File Creator window will open. Click the Add button in the Configuration Files section of the window to select one or more Bulk CM (*.xml) or CNAI (*.txt) files.
Any files you select will be displayed in the Cell File Configuration Files window. You can use the Add, Clear, and Clear All buttons to add and remove files until all of the files you need have been selected. 3. Click the Browse button in the Select Reference Cell File section of the window to select a reference cell file (optional).
The resulting cell file will not contain latitude and longitude data unless you select a reference cell file. Latitude, longitude, antenna direction, and antenna beamwidth data is necessary for TEMS Visualization to display cells in the Map View. 4. 5. Select the output type as either XML or CEL. Click the Browse button in the Specify Output Cell File Format and Name section of the window to specify the name and directory of the resulting TEMS cell file.

Cell File Merging Tool
The Cell File Merging Tool allows you to merge one or more TEMS cell files. You will need to produce a merged cell file in order to display MTR and UETR data simultaneously in TEMS Visualization Tracing.
To merge two or more TEMS cell files, do the following: 1. 2. Select Cell File Merger from the Tools menu. The Cell File Merger window will open. Click the Add button in the Configuration Files section to select one or more TEMS cell files. Any cell files you select will be displayed in the Cell File Merger window. You can use the Add, Clear, and Clear All buttons to add and remove cell files until all of the cell files you need have been selected. 3. 4. 5. NOTE: Select the output type as either XML or CEL. Click the Browse button in the Specify Output Cell File Format and Name section to specify the name and location of the resulting TEMS cell file. Click OK to merge the files. Only the fields specified in CNAI and BulkCM files are taken from the TEMS cell file to create another cell file.

Creating Summary Reports
TEMS Visualization can generate summary reports for R-PMO and GPEH databases. You can select a database of the same type to generate reports. TEMS Visualization will generate a summary report for each selected database. TEMS Visualization will also generate an aggregated summary report using all of the data from the selected databases. TEMS Visualization saves the summary reports in PDF and Excel formats as selected by the user. The following page shows sample excerpts from an aggregated database summary report generated by TEMS Visualization.

Generating a Summary Report
The Summary Report Generator window allows you to generate summary reports from one or more databases of the same type: R-PMO or GPEH.
To generate a summary report, do the following 1. 2. 3. 4. Select Summary Report from the Tools menu. The Summary Report Generator window will open. Select R-PMO or GPEH. Click Add to select one or more R-PMO or GPEH databases. The database selection window will open, allowing you to select one or more databases. For Output Path, click Browse to select the folder where TEMS Visualization will save the Summary reports. TEMS Visualization will prompt you to select a folder. For Report Format, select PDF or Excel format from the dropdown menu. Click Generate to generate the summary reports. TEMS Visualization will save the reports in the selected folder.
