South Metro Junior Football League
The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) came into existence in 2012, after the Moorabbin Saints Junior Football League (MSJFL) was renamed in order to better represent the League’s geographical spread and its presence in south-east metropolitan Melbourne.
In 2018, the SMJFL consisted of 26 member clubs, 488 teams playing Australian Rules football across 64 different divisions. The SMJFL caters for age groups ranging from Under 8s to Under 18s, including three divisions for girls – Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18.
With 11,048 participants involved in the League in 2018, 2019 will be one of the biggest years yet in the history of the SMJFL/MSJFL.

Zebs Love the Game, Not the Odds
We’ve just signed up to Love the Game, a program run by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation. It’s all part of building a safe, healthy club and taking a leadership role in our community.
With more gambling advertising and more ways to gamble than ever before, betting can seem like a normal part of sport. This makes it easier to under-estimate the risks that go with betting and to miss the signs of gambling harm.
We’ve committed to say no to sponsorships from betting agencies and bookmakers – and we’ll be working hard around the club to make sure the focus is on our love of the game, not the odds.

Our program of activities involve adventurous training, wellness and psycho-educational to support the themes mentioned above.
These are all designed to assist in repairing their damaged lives in the physical and mental health domains so impacted by their service to our country; many in theatres of war.
