Section Information

This section of Nutrients aims to rapidly publish contributions on all aspects of clinical nutrition. We encourage the submission of original research, reviews, and communications reporting findings of clinical, experimental, and epidemiological studies of novel nutrition-based prevention and treatment strategies for diseases and health promotion as well as insight into the molecular mechanisms involved.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Clinical and experimental intervention studies applying diet and nutrition;
  • Food, dietary pattern, and health;
  • Nutrition in different life-stages (e.g., maternal nutrition, infants and children, as well as nutrition of elderly people);
  • Innovative investigation of nutritional questions related to clinical nutrition employing epigenetics, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics approaches;
  • Enteral and parenteral nutrition;
  • Assessment, prevention, and treatment of malnutrition;
  • Cardiovascular, hepatic; and metabolic health in relation to diet and nutrition.
