2014 Animals endorsed the ARRIVE Guidelines.
2015 Animals was indexed in PubMed - National Library of Medicine (NLM).
2016 Animals adopted a monthly publication schedule.
2017 Animals was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
Animals announced the first edition of the Travel Awards.
2018 Animals received its first Impact Factor (1.654).
Animals announced the first edition of the Young Investigator Awards.
