Diogo Dalot has hailed the immediate impact of 'big personality' Ruben Amorim, claiming the new boss is exactly what Manchester United need to get back on top.
Amorim got his first taste of English football on Sunday away to Ipswich Town, where a new-look United in a 3-4-3 system were held to a 1-1 draw.
Despite another Premier League game this season without a win, Dalot left Portman Road optimistic about the future in Amorim's vision.
'It's gone really well,' Dalot said.
'He made an impact straight away, in terms of his philosophy and the way he wants us to play.
'It suits the standards of the club. High intensity football and working hard for the team. We just need to put it into practice now.'

Amorim oversaw his first game in charge on Sunday, which was a 1-1 draw vs Ipswich
United made a dream start by taking the lead through Marcus Rashford after 81 seconds, only to to go on and fail to build on it as Amorim conceded his players were 'thinking too much' and 'afraid' to make mistakes with so much new information on board.
'He's really demanding. He's exactly what we need for this type of club,' Dalot added.
'That's the standard the club should have, by demanding people are really professional and working hard for the team. That's the clear message that he gives us every day.
'[He's] really clear. Like I said, we have to give credit to him and his staff for all the information they gave us.
'It was really clear to us and obviously now we will take some more training sessions and games to put this into practice.'
Dalot was operating at left wing-back and found himself in regular dialogue with his new head coach as he tried to rid old habits he picked up under predecessor Erik ten Hag, which saw him drift inside to a midfield role in possession.
'Sprint back and be really hard working,' Dalot said when asked what the message was to players from Amorim and his staff.
Although United were held by Ipswich, Dalot has been impressed with Amorim's philosophy
Amorim will be looking for his first victory as United manager against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday
'Give an option [to team-mates] and don't be afraid to have the ball.
'The message he gave to everybody was clear, he wants us to have more control of the games. And that's what we want to do.'
Attention now turns to Amorim's Old Trafford unveiling on Thursday night in Europa League action when they take on Bodø/Glimt.
Manchester United are currently 15th in the Europa League table after one win from their first four games and there is huge significance on Thursday night as they host a side sitting ahead of them in 12th.
