Ex-Liverpool star is told he must LEAVE new club after 'refusing to board team bus when he

A former Liverpool player has been told that he must leave his new club. The star has been punished after he refused to board the team bus ahead of a key game when he found out that he wasn't named in the starting lineup. Although his contract runs until the summer of 2026, it appears that the player has no future at the club.

Erik ten Hag breaks his silence on Sir Alex Ferguson's Man United sacking after club

CHRIS WHEELER: Ferguson will miss Saturday's clash with Brentford at Old Trafford, the first game since he was informed by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe that this will be his last season as an ambassador for United.

Blackpool confirmed their 63-year-old boss, whose former clubs include Birmingham, and Newcastle, will not be in the dugout on Saturday afternoon following the death of his grandson.

Accusations of 'Spursiness' returned after the collapse from 2-0 up at half-time to a 3-2 defeat at Brighton on their last outing rekindled the criticism of Antonio Conte.

TOM COLLOMOSSE: Mings would not be human if he had not wondered, even if only for a short time, about whether he would ever play at the highest level again.

Spurs will be back in action on Saturday when they take on West Ham in a London derby following the international break, but supporters have been messaged prior to the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo scores late winner with a penalty for Al-Nassr as Al-Shabab miss their own spot-kick in dramatic finale

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late winner with a penalty as Al-Nassr won 2-1 against Al-Shabab in a dramatic conclusion to the game. Al-Nassr had taken the lead in the 69th minute through former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte. An own goal from Al-Nassr's Ali Al-Hassan in the 90th minute saw Al-Shabab equalise.

It was decided he would leave Old Trafford after he was arrested in January 2022 before being charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour, though charges were dropped.

The Football Association confirmed the owner had been charged with misconduct for 'improper behaviour' around the tunnel area, which was found proven by the Regulatory Commission.

The Brazilian full-back, who spent two years on loan at Los Blancos, is currently playing in the Ukrainian Premier League with Shakhtar Donetsk and made his debut for the club this season.

Dominic Solanke reveals what Didier Drogba, Mo Salah and Diego Costa taught him, how he'll

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW BY MATT BARLOW: The symmetry was impossible to escape as Dominic Solanke stood once more in anticipation on more less the same patch of Wembley turf. Back in an England shirt, poised to win his second cap for his country, ready to come on as a second-half sub against Greece just as he had done when making his debut against Brazil. Seven years older, wiser for the twists and turns and everything that happened in between. Bigger, stronger. A better striker, he agreed, more complete, and determined to be part of England's future which he did not know at the time would be about to unfold under Thomas Tuchel.

GRAEME SOUNESS: I am struggling to think of any action that the geniuses running Man United could have taken to turn more people against them than terminating Sir Alex Ferguson's contract.

Meet the man rubbing shoulders with Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta! Michael Skubala is the

Even after a week that has shaken English coaching to its core, the future of the game in this country remains in good hands. The Football Association overlooked those on their doorstep this week by appointing Thomas Tuchel as England's third overseas coach this century. It left many to question the FA's coaching structure and the quality of the coaches themselves. Yet the latter point is beyond doubt. There are numerous examples but perhaps the best is to be found in League One, where Lincoln boss Michael Skubala is building a reputation as a top-class coach of the future.

Mbappe is claimed to have hosted 'private parties' at the exclusive V nightclub, a venue the Clubbable app describes as hosting 'celebrities, wealthy men and women, and stunning young ladies.'

We had to take Man United down - they ran English football, Sir Alex was influencing

MARTIN KEOWN: At England camps, all the United players would sit together and they'd come down early for food, so they often didn't feel fully integrated with the rest of us. Though part of me admired how they stuck together, we Arsenal players felt we ought to mix in with players from other clubs. Maybe we didn't have the arrogance of the United boys.

ISAAN KHAN: Mikel Arteta identified a player with a high ceiling - if he could feel loved and embraced as part of a footballing family per se. That's why a theme of nurture is heavily emphasised.

CHRIS WHEELER: Some sources question how happy Ferguson is with the new arrangement amid a deepening gloom at United over how Ratcliffe has slashed 250 jobs in cost-cutting measures.

Inside Man City's succession plan: Champions are planning for life after Txiki Begiristain

JACK GAUGHAN: Given recent history, Manchester City really wouldn't mind a clone of Txiki Begiristain. The man who oversees all the important behind-the-scenes operations at the Etihad is not one for the limelight. He works in the shadows. Has a decent track record in the transfer market. A distinguished playing career with a classy left foot. All of that sounds a little like Hugo Viana, the man to take over from Begiristain as sporting director at the end of the season. He is all of those things. He's Txiki Lite, Txiki 2.0, whatever you want to call him.

LEWIS STEELE: Despite not kicking a ball in a competitive game of football for nearly two years he still believes in himself and his ability, and that is vital for his comeback.

EXCLUSIVE BY SAMI MOKBEL: In an exclusive interview with the 31-year-old midfielder in Paris on Wednesday, Pogba confirmed that he was aware of the interest from City at the time.

Sheffield United and Leeds pay emotional tribute to George Baldock in the Blades' first

Sheffield United and Leeds have come together to pay tribute to the late former Blades defender George Baldock at Elland Road.  Baldock spent seven years at Bramall Lane before departing over the summer for Greek side Panathinaikos, and in that time he saw the Blades promoted to the Premier League twice.  Earlier this month, on Wednesday October 9, the full back was found dead after drowning in the pool of his home near Athens.

SAMI MOKBEL AND CRAIG HOPE: Mail Sport revealed on Thursday that Howe, arguably the most suitable English candidate, was not interviewed, news the Newcastle boss confirmed on Friday.

The winger had Arsenal fans' hearts in mouths last week when he trudged off the pitch at Wembley during the Three Lions' humiliating 2-1 loss at the hands of 48th-ranked Greece.

Ryan Gravenberch opens up on the Arne Slot phone call that changed his Liverpool career

LEWIS STEELE: Ryan Gravenberch has taken a pew on the stairs which are adorned with artwork of Reds icons past and present. A band of reporters are perched a couple of steps below the Dutchman, hanging on his every word. The seating layout feels metaphoric. Gravenberch has been head and shoulders above most midfielders in Europe this season. It is extremely premature but if the 22-year-old was to make this purple patch a regular occurrence, his face could join those greats on that wall to his right. No one in the Liverpool fanbase - or wider football stratosphere - can hold their hands up and swear they saw Gravenberch's early-season form coming, especially after a failed pursuit for defensive midfielder Martin Zubimendi left many thinking the lack of a No 6 would be costly.

'I'm so competitive people think I'm an a***hole!': Brighton's fiery 31-year-old coaching

INTERVIEW BY IAN LADYMAN: One of Fabian Hurzeler's earliest football memories is of watching Manchester United's 1999 Champions League final defeat of Bayern Munich from his bed. He was six years old. 'My father thought I was sleeping, but of course I had a little bit of my eyes open,' recalled the Brighton manager. Hurzeler, now 31, was later to be coached by current United manager Erik ten Hag in Bayern Munich's second team. In August, Hurzeler and Ten Hag stood side by side on the touchline in the Premier League and Brighton won.

The Stand has been long in the works, but is nearing its completion at last, with December slated as an unveiling date, bringing an end to around six years of work at the stadium.

The one tactical tweak Erik ten Hag must make to help Man United combat Brentford's fast

MARTIN KEOWN: Manchester United are fast becoming the big boys of the Premier League in name only and not for what they are producing on the pitch. Old Trafford does not carry the same fear factor that once forced its visitors to crumble before they had even exited the tunnel.  Certainly Saturday's opponents Brentford will be eager to get on that pitch and go to work as quickly as possible, hopeful of extending their record-breaking run of early goals to exact even more misery on Erik ten Hag and his players.  It is no exaggeration to say the first blow could be struck in the coin toss. Harry Maguire is sidelined for United and he is the one you would have wanted going up for that first header when Brentford attempt what has become their trademark blistering start.

TOM COLLOMOSSE: Christian Heidel, an executive at Mainz for most of the last three decades, brought in Tuchel as U19 coach in 2009 and rapidly promoted him to first-team duties.

The football megastar joined Public Investment Fund (PIF) owned Al-Hilal in 2023 to bring an end to his Paris Saint-Germain nightmare in a £78million move that came as something of a shock.

City are engulfed in a battle in a bid to clear themselves of any wrongdoing, but have other issues to deal with too, including that Guardiola is out of contract at the end of the season.

Jamie Carragher names the one Premier League star that would win Liverpool the title if

Jamie Carragher has named one Premier League star who would boost Liverpool's chances of winning the title, as Reds sit top of the division with the return of top-flight action this weekend.
