Doris Mary Ann Von Kappelhoff (3 Prill, 1922 – 13 Maj, 2019) është një aktore amerikane, këngëtare, dhe aktiviste e të drejtave të kafshëve.
Fillesat artistike

Popullariteti i saj filloi të rritet pas regjistrimit të parë të saj me hitin , "sentimentale Journey", në vitin 1945. Pas largimit Les Brown & Band provoi një karrierë solo, ajo filloi një partneritet të qëndrueshëm me Columbia Records, këngë të cilat do të mbeten i vetmi regjistrim i etiketuar. Kontrata zgjati 1947-1967, dhe ka përfshirë më shumë se 650 incizime, duke e bërë Day-n një nga këngëtaret më të popullarizuara dhe të vlerësuara të shekullit të 20. Në vitin 1948, pasi u bind nga Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne në atë kohë dhe agjenti Al Levy, ajo auditoi për Michael Curtiz, që e çoi atë në rolin "Romancë në det të hapur".

Ajo u bë të rangut të lartë femër yll kuti-zyra e të gjitha kohërave dhe aktualisht renditet e gjashta ndër 10 interpretues më të lartë (meshkuj dhe femra), që nga 2012. Ajo u propozua për Academy Award për rolin e saj në Pillow Talk, fitoi tre Henrietta Awards (World Film Favorite), mori Los Angeles Film Critics Association's Career Achievement Award, në vitin 1989, mori çmimin Cecil B. DeMille për arritje jetësore në filma. Doris e realizoi filmin e saj të fundit në vitin 1968.
