Snowmass 2021 whitepaper: Proton structure at the precision frontier / Amoroso, S. (DESY) ; Apyan, A. (Brandeis U.) ; Armesto, N. (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Ball, R.D. (U. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) et al.
An overwhelming number of theoretical predictions for hadron colliders require parton distribution functions (PDFs), which are an important ingredient of theory infrastructure for the next generation of high-energy experiments. This whitepaper summarizes the status and future prospects for determination of high-precision PDFs applicable in a wide range of energies and experiments, in particular in precision tests of the Standard Model and in new physics searches at the high-luminosity Large Hadron Collider and Electron-Ion Collider [...]

Theory requirements for SM Higgs and EW precision physics at the FCC-ee / Heinemeyer, Sven (Madrid, IFT ; U. Autonoma, Madrid (main) ; Cantabria Inst. of Phys.) ; Jadach, Stanislaw (Cracow, INP) ; Reuter, Jürgen (DESY)
High precision experimental measurements of the properties of the Higgs boson at $\sim$ 125 GeV as well as electroweak precision observables such as the W -boson mass or the effective weak leptonic mixing angle are expected at future $e^+e^-$ colliders such as the FCC-ee. This high anticipated precision has to be matched with theory predictions for the measured quantities at the same level of accuracy. [...]

Role of IR-Improvement in Precision LHC/FCC Physics and in Quantum Gravity / Ward, Bennie F.L. (Baylor U.) ; Jadach, S. (Cracow, INP) ; Placzek, W. (Cracow, INP) ; Skrzypek, M. (Cracow, INP) ; Was, Z.A. (Cracow, INP) ; Yost, S.A. (Citadel Military Coll.)
IR-improvement based on amplitude-level resummation allows one to control unintegrable results in quantum field theory with arbitrary precision in principle. We illustrate such resummation in specific examples in precision LHC and FCC physics and in quantum gravity..

Improved Bhabha cross section at LEP and the number of light neutrino species / Janot, Patrick (CERN) ; Jadach, Stanisław (Cracow, INP)
In $\rm e^+ \rm e^-$ collisions, the integrated luminosity is generally measured from the rate of low-angle Bhabha interactions $\rm e^+ e^- \to e^+ e^- $. In the published LEP results, the inferred theoretical uncertainty of $\pm 0.061\%$ on the predicted rate is significantly larger than the reported experimental uncertainties. [...]

This report includes a collection of studies devoted to a discussion of (i) the status of theoreticalefforts towards the calculation of higher-order Standard Model (SM) corrections needed for theFCC-ee precision measurement programme, (ii) the possibility of making discoveries in physicsby means of these precision measurements, and (iii) methods and tools that must be developedto guarantee precision calculations of the observables to be measured. This report originatesfrom presentations at the 11th FCC-ee Workshop: Theory and Experiments, 8–11 January 2019,CERN, Geneva [1], with 117 registered participants and 42 talks on theory..

Theoretical uncertainties for electroweak and Higgs-boson precision measurements at FCC-ee / Freitas, A. (Pittsburgh U.) ; Heinemeyer, S. (Madrid, IFT ; Cantabria Inst. of Phys.) ; Beneke, M. (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Blondel, A. (Geneva U.) ; Dittmaier, S. (Freiburg U.) ; Gluza, J. (Silesia U. ; Hradec Kralove U.) ; Hoang, A. (Vienna U.) ; Jadach, S. (Cracow, INP) ; Janot, P. (CERN) ; Reuter, J. (DESY) et al.
Due to the high anticipated experimental precision at the Future Circular Collider FCC-ee (or other proposed $e^+e^-$ colliders, such as ILC, CLIC, or CEPC) for electroweak and Higgs-boson precision measurements, theoretical uncertainties may have, if unattended, an important impact on the interpretation of these measurements within the Standard Model (SM), and thus on constraints on new physics.
