CERN Linac4 Drift Tube Linac Manufacturing and Assembly
/ Ramberger, Suitbert (CERN) ; Bourquin, Pierre (CERN) ; Cherif, Ahmed (CERN) ; Cuvet, Yves (CERN) ; Dallocchio, Alessandro (CERN) ; Favre, Gilles (CERN) ; Fuchs, Jean-Frederic (CERN) ; Geisser, Jean-Marie (CERN) ; Gerigk, Frank (CERN) ; Giguet, Jean-Michel (CERN) et al.
The manufacturing of the Linac4 Drift Tube Linac (DTL) components has been completed and the assembly of the structures is in its final stages. 3 tanks of 3.9m, 7.3m, and 7.3m, designed to accelerate a 40mA average pulse current H–beam from 3 to 50MeV, are being assembled from 2, 4 and 4 segments of about 2.0m length, containing each from 22 drift tubes at the low energy end, down to only 6 at the high energy end. [...]

Sub-micro-Tesla Magnetic Shielding Design for Cryomodules in the High-gradient Program at CERN
/ Papadopoulos, Sotirios (CERN) ; Dassa, Luca (CERN) ; Dequaire, Julien (CERN) ; Gerigk, Frank (CERN) ; Pillon, Francois (CERN) ; Ramberger, Suitbert (CERN) ; Yilmazer, Pinar (CERN)
In the framework of the High-Gradient R\&D; program at CERN a cryomodule, consisting of four superconducting 5-cell cavities, has been designed. In order to reduce flux trapping in the surface of the superconductor and to minimize Q degradation during a quench, highly effective magnetic shielding is needed. [...]

This paper reports on the construction experience of the Linac4 CCDTL, which took place in two Russian institutes in the framework of three ISTC projects in close collaboration with CERN. The tanks were constructed at VNIITF, Snezhinsk, while the drift tubes and supports were made at BINP, Novosibirsk. [...]

First Years of Linac4 RF Operation
/ Ramberger, Suitbert (CERN) ; Wegner, Rolf (CERN)
Following the construction, commissioning, run-in, and connection, in 2021 Linac4 at CERN saw its successful start-up to full operation. Being composed primarily of RF systems, occupying most of the tunnel and the equipment hall, a coordinated effort has been put in place by four RF teams providing cavities, amplifier chains, low-level RF and general control systems. The Drift Tube Welding Assembly for the Linac4 Drift Tube Linac at CERN
/ Sexton, Ian (CERN) ; Cherif, Ahmed (CERN) ; Cuvet, Yves (CERN) ; Favre, Gilles (CERN) ; Geisser, Jean-Marie (CERN) ; Ramberger, Suitbert (CERN) ; Sgobba, Stefano (CERN) ; Tardy, Thierry (CERN) ; Mirapeix, Fernando
The fabrication of the Linac4 Drift Tube Linac (DTL) required the welding assembly of 10⁸ drift tubes (DT) which has been undertaken at the CERN workshop. The design of the DTL is particular in that it was purposely simplified to avoid any position adjustment mechanism for drift tubes in the tank. [...]
