Flavour Dynamics and Violations of the CP Symmetry / Pich, Antonio (Valencia U., IFIC)
An overview of flavour physics and CP-violating phenomena is presented. The Standard Model quark-mixing mechanism is discussed in detail and its many successful experimental tests are summarized. [...]

Flavour Physics and CP Violation / Pich, Antonio (Valencia U. ; Valencia U., IFIC)
An introductory overview of the Standard Model description of flavour is presented. The main emphasis is put on present tests of the quark-mixing matrix structure and the phenomenological determination of its parameters. [...]

Flavour Physics and CP Violation : Expecting the LHC / Fleischer, Robert (CERN)
The starting point of these lectures is an introduction to the weak interactions of quarks and the Standard-Model description of CP violation, where the central role is played by the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix and the corresponding unitarity triangles. Since the B-meson system governs the stage of (quark) flavour physics and CP violation, it is our main focus: we shall classify B-meson decays, introduce the theoretical tools to deal with them, investigate the requirements for non-vanishing CP-violating asymmetries, and discuss the main strategies to explore CP violation and the preferred avenues for physics beyond the Standard Model to enter. [...]

Benchmarks for the New-Physics Search through CP Violation in $B^0 \to \pi^0 K_S$ / Fleischer, Robert (CERN) ; Jager, Sebastian (CERN) ; Pirjol, Dan (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Zupan, Jure (CERN ; Stefan Inst., Ljubljana ; Ljubljana U.)
Using isospin relations, we predict the Standard-Model correlation between S_{pi^0 K_S}=(sin 2beta)_{pi^0 K_S} and A_{pi^0 K_S}, the mixing-induced and direct CP asymmetries of B^0-> pi^0 K_S. The calculation uses flavour SU(3) only to fix the isospin-3/2 amplitude through the B^\pm->pi^\pm pi^0 branching ratio, and thus has a small irreducible theoretical error. [...]

Rare Kaon Decays / Ceccucci, Augusto (CERN)
Historically important in the development of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics, rare kaon decays are still a privileged tool for looking beyond it. The main reasons to continue the study of rare kaon decays are to test the CKM quark-mixing and CP-violation paradigm, to make quantitative comparisons with the B sector, and to search for explicit violations of the SM. The supersymmetric Higgs sector and $B-\overline{B}$ mixing for large tan $\beta$ / Gorbahn, Martin (TUM-IAS, Munich) ; Jager, Sebastian (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Nierste, Ulrich (Karlsruhe U., TTP) ; Trine, Stephanie (Karlsruhe U., TTP)
We match the Higgs sector of the most general flavour breaking and CP violating minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) onto a generic two-Higgs-doublet model, paying special attention to the definition of tan beta in the effective theory. In particular no tan beta-enhanced loop corrections appear in the relation to tan beta defined in the DRbar scheme in the MSSM. [...]
