First results of the CAST-RADES haloscope search for axions at 34.67 $\mu$eV / CAST Collaboration
We present results of the Relic Axion Dark-Matter Exploratory Setup (RADES), a detector which is part of the CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST), searching for axion dark matter in the 34.67$\mu$eV mass range. A radio frequency cavity consisting of 5 sub-cavities coupled by inductive irises took physics data inside the CAST dipole magnet for the first time using this filter-like haloscope geometry. [...]

New Upper Limit on the Axion-Photon Coupling with an Extended CAST Run with a Xe-Based Micromegas Detector / CAST Collaboration
Hypothetical axions provide a compelling explanation for dark matter and could be emitted from the hot solar interior. The CERN Axion Solar Telescope (CAST) has been searching for solar axions via their back conversion to X-ray photons in a 9-T 10-m long magnet directed towards the Sun. [...]

Form factors for semileptonic B-decays with HISQ light quarks and clover b-quarks in Fermilab interpretation / Jeong, Hwancheol (Indiana U.) ; DeTar, Carleton (Utah U.) ; El-Khadra, Aida X. (Tata Inst. ; Bielefeld U. ; CERN ; Kaiserslautern U. ; Illinois U., Urbana) ; Gámiz, Elvira (CAFPE, Granada ; Granada U., Theor. Phys. Astrophys.) ; Gelzer, Zechariah (Tata Inst. ; Bielefeld U. ; CERN ; Kaiserslautern U. ; Illinois U., Urbana) ; Gottlieb, Steven (Indiana U.) ; Jay, William (MIT, Cambridge, CTP) ; Kronfeld, Andreas (Fermilab) ; Lytle, Andrew (Tata Inst. ; Bielefeld U. ; CERN ; Kaiserslautern U. ; Illinois U., Urbana) ; Vaquero, Alejandro (Zaragoza U.)
We compute the vector, scalar, and tensor form factors for the $B\to \pi$, $B\to K$, and $B_s\to K$ amplitudes, which are needed to describe semileptonic $B$-meson decay rates for both the charged and neutral current cases. We use the highly improved staggered quark (HISQ) action for the sea and light valence quarks. [...]

Design of New Resonant Haloscopes in the Search for the Dark Matter Axion: A Review of the First Steps in the RADES Collaboration / Díaz-Morcillo, Alejandro (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Barceló, José María García (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Guerrero, Antonio José Lozano (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Navarro, Pablo (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Gimeno, Benito (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Cuendis, Sergio Arguedas (CERN) ; Melcón, Alejandro Álvarez (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Cogollos, Cristian (Barcelona, IEEC) ; Calatroni, Sergio (CERN) ; Döbrich, Babette (CERN) et al.
Within the increasing interest in the dark matter axion detection through haloscopes, in which different international groups are currently involved, the RADES group was established in 2016 with the goal of developing very sensitive detection systems to be operated in dipole magnets. This review deals with the work developed by this collaboration during its first five years, from the first designs, based on the multi-cavity concept, aiming to increase the haloscope volume and, so, to improve its sensitivity, their evolution, the data acquisition design, and, finally, the first experimental run. A Proposal for a Low-Frequency Axion Search in the 1–2 μ$\umu$ eV Range and Below with the BabyIAXO Magnet / Ahyoune, Saiyd (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Melcón, Alejandro Álvarez (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Cuendis, Sergio Arguedas (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Calatroni, Sergio (CERN) ; Cogollos, Cristian (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Devlin, Jack (Imperial Coll., London) ; Díaz-Morcillo, Alejandro (Cartagena Politecnica U.) ; Díez-Ibáñez, David (U. Zaragoza (main)) ; Döbrich, Babette (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Galindo, Javier (U. Zaragoza (main)) et al.
In the near future BabyIAXO will be the most powerful axion helioscope, relying on a custom-made magnet of two bores of 70 cm diameter and 10 m long, with a total available magnetic volume of more than 7 m$^3$. In this document, we propose and describe the implementation of low-frequency axion haloscope setups suitable for operation inside the BabyIAXO magnet. [...]
