I am an editor in Wikidata contributing to various fields. I also have skills in Pascal, Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. That is why I am working on developing multilingual tools such as JavaScript ones that can be useful for a variety of wikis including Wikidata:Structured Categories. However, the development of a gadget tool requires the hosting of the source code in the MediaWiki namespace of a centralized wiki to ensure security and trustworthiness. When in the MediaWiki namespace of a centralized wiki, the code can be called by any language edition of a Wikimedia project without any matter. As my tools use Wikidata as a reference database, I thought of posting the tools I develop in the MediaWiki namespace of Wikidata. However, I need to be an interface administrator to do this. --Csisc (talk) 01:26, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- The code for your tool seems to be living in the Mediawiki namespace on metawiki now [1], and I think it is a more appropriate place than Wikidata. Do you still need this right? —MisterSynergy (talk) 22:57, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- MisterSynergy: That is absolutely true. I do not currently need this right. --Csisc (talk) 16:18, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
