Training Courses (Welding, Underwater, Welding Inspection and NDT)

TWI provides training and examination services via our worldwide network of offices, training centres and agents. As the world's largest training organisation in welding, welding inspection and non-destructive testing, each year sees over 20,000 participants in more than 60 countries benefit from our expertise.

Our courses and examinations are designed to service all key industry sectors, including oil and gas, aerospace, construction, power and automotive, with all courses supported by internationally recognised certification. As such, TWI has trained staff for some of the most influential companies in the world.

Standard courses are scheduled at all TWI venues, while we can also provide training on-site at your business, saving time and money on attending one of our training centres. Tailor-made training can also be arranged to suit your particular needs, offering complete flexibility and enabling courses to be matched to your personal, industry or company requirements.

We also offer eLearning and blended learning packages, which allow you to study or revise course content in your own time.

In addition, we offer a 10% discount for Industrial Members on all training courses and a 5% discount for Professional Members.

Welding Courses

TWI's practical welding courses and qualifications are designed to help create a skilled and competent workforce.

With a choice of bespoke on-site practical training, weld procedure development and witnessing of welder qualification tests at TWI or company facilities, our welding courses cover the main arc welding processes that are used by industry, whether manual or semi-auto, including TIG, MMA, MAG, MIG, and FCAW.

We also offer bespoke welder training and qualification in specialised areas, including our plastics welder training and qualification, which has proven popular for applications in a range of industries. 

Our welder qualification tests are witnessed by CSWIP approved welding examiners and conducted in line with recognised international standards.Qualification standards in the global construction and manufacturing sectors are EN 9606/287, ASME IX and BS 4872 parts 1 and 2 in the UK.

The internationally recognised qualification standard for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is BCAR-A8-10, which is also the requirement for welding in the aerospace sector.
