Abstract
A music school is an educational institution specialized in the study, training
and research of music. Such an institution can also be known as a school of
music, music academy, music faculty, college of music, music department
(of a larger institution), conservatory or conservatoire. The focus is on
function and aesthetics of the design, specifically in the areas of space
utilization, wall treatment, floor treatment, ceiling treatment furnishing and
lighting.
Present well-arranged music schools are so well arranged and tell how they
renovated interiors or built new facilities to accommodate all facilities. The
survey addresses design concerns such as access and flow, circulation and
ergonomics problems. New design elements such as lobby spaces for public
use are becoming as much a part of the new music schools trend.

Project Title: Creating Symphony In a Music School Through Rust of Nature
Concept: Rust & Nature
This is a new and exciting project for which I am going to work with much
pleasure and dedication, trying to transpose the passion for music into the
interior design. It's about creating an interior design project for a private music
school. Design can incorporate some elements such as rhythm, motif, cool and
soothing color, and mainly the rustic effects of nature from some natural
elements. The chosen colors and pieces of furniture suggest the idea of
musicality, education and talent. It is a fun, exciting and at the same time very
well-thought design in order to reflect the idea of a place created for talented
and passionate persons. To facilitate this goal, I’ll develop a custom palette to
compliment the school’s distinctive natural motifs.
Concept development
Color Scheme
• Nature: Neutral color and applicable color accents are, green, blue & soothing colors
• Rustic theme: Neutral colors, wooden color, brown, chocolate color etc.
Characteristics of the theme
Rustic Style:
• Wood: Rustic Style makes use of natural materials and the biggest influence is wood. From pine to oak,
the emphasis is on natural woods with minimal varnishes and paint. In addition to wood furniture, we’ll
see wood-beamed ceilings, wood-paneled walls and wide-planked wood floors. Reclaimed wood is an
important also part of modern Rustic Style, as it represents a deep respect for preserving natural
resources.
• Earth Tones: When choosing a color palette, look no further than earth tones. The idea behind Rustic
Style is to mimic the beauty of the outdoors and bring that feeling inside. Browns, greens, reds and
oranges will work well with wooden pieces and will help create a serene style that helps us relax.
• Natural Fabrics: Choose natural upholstery materials such as cotton, wool, canvas, burlap and linen.
Patterns should be simple, too, such as plaids or stripes with a Southwestern flair. Another good choice
is leather, which will complement the rustic décor and provide a smooth texture to the room.
Color scheme
• Color Scheme: Cool & Soothing Color Rustic

Acoustic solution:
How to create a good sound environment
In order to create optimal room acoustics you must first consider the following:
• what activities that will take place in the room
• the human sound preferences for those activities
• the type of room
• Ecophon then offers acoustic ceilings and wall panels that will help you create the
best possible room acoustics for most types of indoor environments.
Groove Wooden Acoustic Panels
• Groove Wooden Acoustic Panels have longitudinal grooves and slats, machined
along the length of the panel. These panels are consist of a laminate finished
surface, base core board and black acoustic felt attached on the back. The base
core board is an 16mm or 18mm thick Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) sheet
with a finish laminated to its front face and black acoustic felt adhered to its rear
face. Groove Wooden Acoustic Panels are manufactured with a rabbet and notch
joint. Thanks to the precision of the rabbet and notch a perfect finish is achieved
when they is installed

Discussion
• It is important to consider any purchase of materials or equipment for
long-term use;
• Equipment and furniture that is sturdy, functional, and well-designed
enables both students and teachers to better focus on their music
ensuring the maximum results from their efforts;
• By addressing the key issues of acoustics, floor plan, layout and an
outstanding facility can help develop and inspire even greater musical
achievements and performances in the future.
Conclusion
• Acoustics considerations are crucial in designing the music school;
• Proper planning should be taken in order to address the needs for
floor space, ease of access to related areas, and flexibility for multiple
activities;
• Floor plan should be incorporated in such a way to ensure that
convenient locations enable a logical, streamlined flow of students,
teachers and other equipment and activities in the facility.
