Active voice

• The subject of a sentence is the person or thing we talk


about.
• When the subject does something, we use ACTIVE
VOICE.
Subject Active verb

• E.g.: People sell good flowers.

Passive voice
• It is used when the subject is not the doer of an action.
• We put the receiver of an action as the subject.
• We put the doer of an action as the object.
Subject Passive verb

• E.g.: Good flowers are sold by people.

The form of passive voice :
Subject + to be + past participle (V3) + Object
Active Passive
• COLLECT • IS / ARE COLLECTED
• PERFORM • IS / ARE PERFORMED
• DECORATE
• SWEEP • IS / ARE DECORATED
• BURN • IS / ARE SWEPT
• IS /ARE BURNED
