Online Vacancy System Project
Introduction:
The Online Vacancy system is a web-based system for an Educational Intuitions which will
provide a simple and easy user interface to operate, which can be managed by Admin
without having in-depth knowledge of the computer system.
The system will allow to post the Vacancy as well as receive the Applicant details after
they submit their detail which are fill up by them in the frontend of the website. This
system also helps to receive the feedbacks from the applicants as well as the response form
the Admin user.
Purpose:
The purpose of this system is to solve the problems of physical posting of the Vacancy i.e.
is in paper which directly helps to minimize the time and cost to post the vacancy.
 Online Vacancy System.

 Design and Development of an Online Vacancy System (OVS).
 Web-Based Online Vacancy System for the Educational Organization.
 Saves paper works and helps to store large amount of information
Methodology:
The Waterfall Methodology is used to complete this project. Such as requirements,

analysis, design, development and testing. Requirements are collected by visiting the
organization physically and questioner to the head of the organization and implementing
them in the system.
Entities and Attributes used in this System:
 Entities: [Fig: 1]
ADMIN, LOGIN, APPLICANTS, VACANCY, ATTACHMENT,

FEEDBACK, REGESTRATION
 Attributes: [Fig: 1]
Primary Keys: Userid, ApplicantId, Loginid, Jobid, Feedbackid,

RegestraionId, etc.
Problem Statement:
The manual system employed by organizations involves the physical movement of the
form of the applicants which are revived by the organization one by one and report to the
head of the organization. This method wastes time is characterized by errors and it is
difficult to keep Online Vacancy records.
Our Contribution:
Our contribution is to produce a system that will reduce cost and time complexity of
Educational administration. It is also helpful for planning a new development in
Educational Initiations.
Functional requirements:
The Functional requirements are divided into the following three parts
1. Administration Functional Requirements

2. User Requirements
Administration Functional Requirements:
 System login function, with password change functionality after login.

 Add new Vacancy and categories into the system list.
 Remove items and categories from Vacancy List.
 Receives the detail of the Applicants.
 Manage the Applicants form as per need.
 Response to the applicant through feedback.
User Requirements:
 System login function.

 View Applicants.
 Checks the Applicant Details.
 Response the Applicants.
Development Languages:
 There are many programming and scripting language available which meet criteria
to develop our system but we have used the following:
HTML:
This language is used for developing static pages of our system
CSS:
This language is used for formatting our system.
PHP:
This language is used to working over the system dynamically.
JAVASCRIPT:
This language is used for validation or authentication.

MYSQL:
This language is used for developing a database of our system.
SOFTWARE/TOOLS:
There are many free ware software available in the market but we use following these:
 XAMP Server
 Sublime Text for PHP and JAVASCRIPT
 Draw.io
 MS Word
