Data Upload via API

Handout

Once you’ve created your Workspace, it’s time to connect your data to Datorama.
One way to do that, is to use one of our many API connectors.
Here’s how you can do that, in 8 steps:

Click on the Connect and mix tab.

Click on Add New to create a new Data Stream:

Select the Provider to which you want to connect.
In this example, we will use Google Analytics –

Click on Add new to add your Credentials

Then, type in your credentials in the new window that opens, in order to
authorize access from this Data Stream to your Google Analytics data.
Don’t worry – the rest of the data from your Google Account will not be
exposed here, only your Google Analytics data.

Select the Profile, or Website for the data you wish to retrieve –
You can also specify which Segment you wish to retrieve from this Profile,
if needed:

Now, go to the Initial data fetch tab in order to define the Date Range for
initial retrieval:

If you’d like to retrieve any Extended Properties alongside this Data, you can
configure those via the Extended Properties tab:

Now, click on ‘Save’. Congratulations, you’ve created your first API Data Stream!
You data will automatically be imported daily into Datorama, under the
selected Workspace.
