South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Gregory Keith Day, 44, of Goose Creek, on 13 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Officers with the Moncks Corner Police Department responded to the Plantation Apartments, 1022 Old Hwy. 52, around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, after Berkeley County Dispatch received a call reporting multiple shots fired and someone lying on the ground. 

A hostage situation involving an armed suspect came to a tragic end Friday, Sept. 20, in a neighborhood on Knutson Street in Goose Creek.

Atkinson had active warrants for two counts of trafficking methamphetamine and possession with the intent to distribute a scheduled narcotic. U.S. Marshals worked to locate Atkinson, who was found in Colleton County at her grandparent’s residence.

According to the police report, the deputy activated his emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicles. One vehicle pulled over, but the other did not. It proceeded onto North Main Street and approached Sigma Drive. The vehicle, driven by Rivers, failed to stop for deputies, made a U-turn and headed back in the other direction. The vehicle then made several more U-turns in an attempt to lose the deputy.
