Our STEM programs were happening across the globe this week- how cool to be able to share vibrant and engaging programs with students in Boise and in Singapore. Our Micron Technology team members, volunteers and leaders are all behind our mission to increase access to STEM education where they live and work and we love to see it!
I want to extend a huge thanks to members of our Singapore team who I met with last week. During the visit, I joined over 60 kids ages 13-15 for our signature Chip Camp at the Science Centre Singapore. Supported by members of our Mosaic Employee Resource Group, we facilitated hands-on activities designed to engage kids in the field of semiconductor science and with new innovations incorporating Gen AI. Thanks to the Science Center teachers and Micron Technology volunteers who facilitated a fascinating day. We always enjoy welcoming students worldwide to engage in #STEM subjects, learn about technical careers, and connect with companies like ours. In addition, I was pleased to join a roundtable with 17 Singapore nonprofit organizations to discuss partnership opportunities with the Micron Foundation. During the conversation, we shared strategies to address gaps in digital and technological skills that exist among underrepresented populations in Singapore, particularly for women, that hinder their ability to access and thrive within the STEM ecosystem. Through business, community, and government partnerships, we can elevate opportunities for all people to access pathways that welcome them to careers of the future.
