On June 5th, our Micron Technology team members in India celebrated #WorldEnvironmentDay by planting over 300 saplings at their Micron site in Gujarat. It was a wonderful initiative led by site leader, Vishwanath Ramaswamy, and supported by more than 250 Micron team members who enthusiastically volunteered for this cause! Their drive doesn’t stop with just planting the trees and shrubs but Micron team members have also adopted them to ensure sustained and healthy growth. We are proud to be part of Micron's global commitment to environmental sustainability, which is one of our core values. Through the plantation drive, we are not only enhancing the beauty of our campus, but also contributing to the well-being of our local community and ecosystem. Trees provide oxygen, filter pollutants, prevent soil erosion, and offer habitat for wildlife. They also symbolize growth, resilience, and hope for the future. We’re proud to announce that our very own Scott DeBoer, EVP of Technology and Products, has been named Vice Chair of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) by CHIPS for America. Scott’s journey with Micron began in 1995, and his dedication and expertise have been instrumental in Micron's growth over the years. With over 120 U.S. patents to his name and dozens of technical publications, Scott’s contributions to the semiconductor industry are truly remarkable. The IAC plays a crucial role in guiding the Secretary of Commerce on issues related to domestic semiconductor research, development, manufacturing, and policy. A member since 2023 and now Vice Chair, we’re confident that Scott’s leadership will greatly benefit the committee and the broader industry.
