Expedition Tips
This expedition has a relatively low difficulty, so it's a great introduction to how the Seismic Vibrator works. However, you'll be traveling quite a distance (1180 meters) so, mentally prepare for that.
The game suggests you take two trucks on this mission, but we were able to complete it with just one without any problems, so taking two is entirely up to you.
What Type of Truck you Should Take?
For this expedition, you'll need a big truck that can carry the seismic vibrator on its back, so a heavy truck or an offroad one will do the trick. However, at this point in the game, you probably don't have heavy trucks unlocked so your options boil down to any offroad trucks available.
The Seismic Vibrator that's required for this mission greatly increases the weight of the truck you're using, so you'll want something with an increased strength stat.
That's why we went with the Step 310E off-road truck. This one has an A- in power, a B in strength, and a B+ in Fuel Consumption. It also has seven inventory slots and can store 200 L of fuel.
For the inventory, we took a jack-screw and an anchor. Keep in mind that each jack-screw can be used two times, so if you want to complete the additional objective of "using jack-screw more than three times" you'll need to take two of them.
Remember that this expedition requires a Seismic Vibrator so you'll need to equip that from the customization menu by selecting the Exterior tab and then scrolling down to the Frame Modules options. Once there, select the Seismic Vibrator free of charge.
The expedition description specified the terrain for this mission was watery, so we installed a Twin Snorkels upgrade to our truck in case we encountered any large body of water. Another upgrade we used was the Azov AM-8 1240 engine to further increase the vehicle's power and strength.
Expedition Rewards
This expedition only offers cash rewards. with a 1700 payment once it's completed. You can make more money by completing the following bonuses:
- Use jack-screw more than three times (1000 bonus)
- Don't flip the car more than three times (1000 Bonus)
- Take less than 50 damage from the tire swap (500 bonus)
Starting the Expedition
This expedition takes place in the Easter Outpost, once there move forward to the first quest marker to get out of the camp.
After that, your objective will be to explore the area using the Seismic Vibrator. This device shows the distance to points in the upper right part of your screen, so you can see how far away are you from the point.
Once you're less than ten meters away from the target area, the signal decreases and you'll be able to start scanning the area.
During this expedition, you'll need to scan two different areas. The first one is just 69 meters away from the first quest marker.
To get there, you have to explore the area while also paying attention to the upper right corner of the screen, the lower the number the closer you are to your target. It's a similar concept to the "Hot and Cold" game children play.
To make things easier, here's a picture of the exact point on the map where the "Start seismic vibration" option became available for us.
After scanning this point, you can move to the second one.
Scanning the second point
The second point will be around 300 meters away from the first one. Like before, you need to move around while making sure the numbers on the upper right corner are lowering with each movement.
This time you'll need to move north of where you are and then go down, near the lake. Below is the exact point where we were able to scan the area.
While the road to the second point is very straightforward, there is a moment where you'll need to go down the terrain to get closer to the lake. Going down can be tricky if you don't know the safest route. That's why when you get to the area shown below.
Go down the path to the left instead of attempting to go down the rocky path on the right.
After using the Seismic Vibrator for the second time, the expedition will be completed and you can get back to the main headquarters.
