Galveston Naval Museum observes Veterans Day
The Galveston Naval Museum on Monday honored veterans during its annual Veterans Day ceremony. The ceremony highlighted the history of the Battle of Leyte Gulf during World War II and the museum’s new exhibit about the battle.
The Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944 was the largest naval battle of World War II, resulting in a major Allied victory against Japanese forces.
