Dickens on The Strand transports Galveston to Victorian-era England
A brisk, biting wind and misty drizzle Saturday only added to the atmosphere as the Dickens on The Strand festival transported historic downtown Galveston back in time to Victorian-era England.
The annual holiday celebration is presented by the Galveston Historical Foundation and features numerous vendors, attractions, parades and performances all true to the era of Charles Dickens and his works.
