The energy sector is undergoing a transformation. Renewable energy in our electricity supply mix is continuing to grow and plays a critical role in reducing emissions.
NSW now has approximately 13,500 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy generation capacity, which is around 53% of total generation capacity in our state.
We are working with industry to support a thriving green hydrogen industry in NSW. This will help pave the way for a net zero emissions future while driving economic growth.
The NSW renewable energy pipeline refers to projects that are not yet operational, but which are either in the planning system, have planning approval or are under construction.
