Her sister Antonia, her husband Craig Marran and Antonia's 26-year-old daughter Lucia Hawley were also present.
Lucia's longtime boyfriend, Henry Poole, also joined in on the summer fun.
It is the Hollywood actress' first time back in Sydney since the death on Nicole and Antonia's mother, Janelle.
Nicole has been incredibly busy as of late, making movies like Babygirl and starring in Paramount + series Lioness with Zoe Saldana.
And last week, she started filming her highly anticipated Kay Scarpetta project.
After the Christmas break she will go back to shooting.
The numerous projects come after Nicole said she planned to give up acting completely after giving birth to her daughter Sunday.
The 'Moulin Rouge! star has two adopted children - Isabella and Connor - from her marriage to Tom Cruise and she became a mother again when she welcomed daughter Sunday with her husband Keith in 2008.

Nicole admitted she wanted to walk away from Hollywood for good to focus on her family. In an interview with CBS News, she explained: 'When I gave birth to [Sunday], I was like: Well, I think I'm pretty much done now.'
However, Nicole revealed her late mother convinced her not to give her career completely.
The actress went on: 'We were living on a farm, and that's when my mother said: "I wouldn't give up completely. Keep a finger sort of in it."
'And I'm like: "No, no. I'm done now. I'm done."
'She's going: "Just listen to me. Keep moving forward. Not saying that you have to do it to the level you've been doing it, but I wouldn't give it up completely."
'That came from a woman who was from a generation that didn't have the opportunities that I had, that she had helped create for her daughters.
'So that's probably something that she wished she'd had when she was little.'
Nicole went on to become a mother again when the couple welcomed another daughter, Faith, via surrogate in 2010 and the actress' career went from strength-to-strength - winning Oscar nominations for her films Rabbit Hole, Lion and Being the Ricardos.
The actress is currently the focus of more Oscar buzz after landing a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Babygirl - in which she plays CEO Romy, who puts her career and family at risk when she embarks on an affair with an intern. Nicole recently admitted she's happy to have got the nod because it helps raise awareness of the film to audiences around the world.

She told Access Hollywood: 'I'm just really grateful that we're included as a film because we get to go and it brings enormous amount of attention.
'It's global the way in which people respond to the Golden Globes. I got texts from all over the world going congratulations so that shows the power of it.'
Nicole has insisted that she is 'allowed to grieve' for her mother however she wants to.
The actress lost her mother Janelle in September when she passed away at the age of 84 and said there is no 'time limit' on how she manages the process of grief afterwards even though her mother was a considerable age.
Speaking on CBS Sunday Mornings, she said: 'Wow, three months on, and people say to me "Yeah, she was 84, a good life..." But that was my mom. It doesn't matter what age someone is. There is no limit on grief, you don't have to have a time limit on it, you don't have to be all better by this time.
'You're allowed to pass through in waves and people go "Oh well, whatever", but it's my mama, my life, and I'm allowed to process and grieve in the way I want to.'
Meanwhile, she said she is aware that as an 'older mother' she needs to be mindful of her health after taking advice from her own mom.
She said: 'And the final words my mama said to me, I was gonna get on a plane, and she said "Maybe wait a minute, because you just need to take care of yourself, Nicky."
Nicole's sister Antonia wore a black bikini top with printed bottoms
She too looked incredibly fit with impressive muscle tone
Antonia and her daughter bonded as they enjoyed family time
'I'm doing that more, and I say that to other people in the world. Particularly, women, I think we tend not to care of ourselves. We take care of everybody else but the last person is here.
'My grandmother left me with "be happy" and my grandmother said "Take care of yourself."
'I'm an older mother so I wanna be around a long time for my girls, they're amazing girls and I'm lucky to have them so taking care of myself so that I can take care of them.
'I would like to be around for a long time. Who knows? I don't get to choose that.'
