A young woman has been left feeling unwell after her friend announced her engagement to her own step brother.
The woman said the young couple who are in their early 20s have been dating for two years - and started hooking up after their parents got together.
Taking to Facebook she fumed: 'I don't know what's wrong with people, how could they support this'.
She explained the couple had gone to high school with each other and were technically step siblings because their parents are also together.
'How are you going to explain to your children that your step grandpa is also your grandpa - it is more than messed up,' she said.
She added the bride-to-be's sister is also dating the groom's cousin.
'Why is this family so onboard with incest?' she asked.
But the woman, who posted anonymously, was slammed by dozens of people telling her to 'mind her own business'.

'Imagine being so bothered by someone else's relationship,' one woman said.
'Sounds like pure jealousy to me.'
Then the people involved saw the post and recognised themselves as the characters even though the names had been changed.
'I am the sister.. dating the cousin.. we are not biologically related. There is nothing wrong with it, get a life or come to me if you want to know the facts,' she said.
Another person close to the situation said: 'The kids actually got together at about the same time as the parents and no one knew about either situation until they had been dating for a few months. They love each other which is what counts.'
But some people couldn't get past the close connection.
'Every family dinner would be like a double date, this is so wrong,' one woman said.
Another agreed: 'Someone should have broken up in the early days. This is far too close for comfort.'
'The big sister going on to date the cousin tells you exactly how weird this family is,' said another.
The woman couldn't believe 'how cool people were with the relationship
But the big sister took issue with this idea as well.
She explained she and her partner (her step brother's cousin) had met on a night out and didn't know about the family connection.
'We worked it out and just laughed. He is my person.'
Other people chimed in to reveal they had relationships with their own step siblings.
'I am married to my step brother, have been for eight years and have three kids. But he has never been the step brother to me - he was always my soul mate.'
The post was quietly deleted after almost 100 people sided with the family.
In Australia it is illegal to marry your siblings, including half siblings. But step siblings are not covered by the act.
You can also marry your own step parents, according to the law as long as they didn't adopt you.
