Mama June reveals she 'tried to stop' Pumpkin's marriage to Josh as she reacts to new boyfriend

Mama June revealed she had tried to dissuade her daughter Pumpkin from marrying her now ex-husband Josh Efird.
Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird stunned fans in August when she filed for divorce from Josh after six years of marriage.
'I tell people this all the time, Pumpkin and Josh met when [they were] teenagers,' Mama June, 45, told People on Friday. 'I even tried not to get her to marry Josh years ago.'
The former couple shares four children: Ella, 6, Bentley, 3, and 2-year-old twins Sylus and Stella.
June claimed Josh 'hasn't cared' for Pumpkin over the years and has unfairly 'blamed me for a lot of s--- that's not my fault.'
However, she noted an improvement in her bond with Pumpkin since the separation.

'As far as Pumpkin goes, I think our relationship has got better since her and Josh have separated. We do do more stuff together,' she said.
Mama June also shared her thoughts on Pumpkin’s new boyfriend Darrin Kitchens, whom Pumpkin began dating just one week after filing for divorce.
'He is very good with the children. He's very good with his daughter. He sees his daughter every other week, just like come and gets the kids every other week,' Mama June gushed.
'He gets up, he bathes them and takes Pumpkin's kids out if they want to go out with him. They go out in the yard and play. We've been on family vacations.'
Mama June offered cautious support for Pumpkin's new relationship, stating that Darrin has given her no reason to disapprove of him being around Pumpkin or her children.
However, she remained uncertain about the relationship's longevity, describing it as 'Pumpkin's phase.'
'I'm going to be 100% honest. I mean, she's gonna be 25 years old. Who knows? I feel this is her phase,' June added.
'Who knows if her and Darrin are going to last. Right now, they're together. Nobody knows what the future holds.'

Meanwhile, Josh, who works as a mechanic, is said to be seeing a woman, named Keely, according to TMZ.
Still, the outlet claimed the estranged spouses have a 'cordial relationship' and are 'pretty friendly' with one another.
While Mama June: From Not to Hot, is currently in production, the outlet reported that neither Pumpkin or Josh plan on having their significant others appear on their show.
In 2016, 16-year-old Pumpkin got engaged to Josh after nine months of dating, with Josh proposing just two days before Christmas at a seafood restaurant.
The ex couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ella, on December 8, 2017, and tied the knot the following year at The Chapel at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
