Aco (born February 3, 1977 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan[1]) is a female Japanese singer. She made her debut in 1995 with the pop single Fuan nano (不安なの). She is a part of Sony Music Japan. She explores different musical styles, with the albums absolute ego and material displaying Electronica influences. absolute ego was produced by ex-Denki Groove keyboardist, Yoshinori Sunahara and the other side of absolute ego album contains remixes by Tricky, DJ Krush, and Silent Poets, among others.

In 2003, after a 2-year hiatus, she enlisted the help of the avant-garde audio-visual performance group portable[k]ommunity for her quieter, more delicate album, Irony. Irony has been called "one of the most beautiful albums to come out of Japan in 2003" with the music compared to an "airy lullaby".[2]

Acetoxy group

Acetoxy group, abbreviated AcO or OAc, is a chemical functional group of the structure CH3-C(=O)-O-. It differs from the acetyl group CH3-C(=O)- by the presence of one additional oxygen atom. The name acetoxy is the short form of acetyl-oxy.

Functionality

An acetoxy group may be used as a protection for an alcohol functionality in a synthetic route although the protecting group itself is called an acetyl group.

Alcohol protection

There are several options of introducing an acetoxy functionality in a molecule from an alcohol (in effect protecting the alcohol by acetylation):

  • Acetyl Halide, such as Acetyl chloride in the presence of a base like triethylamine
  • Activated ester form of acetic acid, such as a N-hydroxysuccinimide ester, although this is not advisable due to higher costs and difficulties.
  • Acetic anhydride in the presence of base with a catalyst such as pyridine with a bit of DMAP added.
  • An alcohol is not a particularly strong nucleophile and, when present, more powerful nucleophiles like amines will react with the above-mentioned reagents in preference to the alcohol.

    ACO2

Aconitase 2, mitochondrial is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ACO2 gene.

    Structure

The secondary structure of ACO2 consists of numerous alternating alpha helices and beta sheets (SCOP classification: α/β alternating). The tertiary structure reveals that the active site is buried in the middle of the enzyme, and, since there is only one subunit, there is no quaternary structure. Aconitase consists of four domains: three of the domains are tightly compact, and the fourth domain is more flexible, allowing for conformational changes. The ACO2 protein contains a 4Fe-4S iron-sulfur cluster. This iron sulfur cluster does not have the typical function of participating in oxidation-reduction reactions, but rather facilitates the elimination of the citrate hydroxyl group by holding the group in a certain conformation and orientation. It is at this 4Fe-4S site that citrate or isocitrate binds to initiate catalysis. The rest of the active site is made up of the following residues: Gln72, Asp100, His101, Asp165, Ser166, His167, His147, Glu262, Asn258, Cys358, Cys421, Cys424, Cys358, Cys421, Asn446, Arg447, Arg452, Asp568, Ser642, Ser643, Arg644, Arg580. Their functions have yet to be elucidated.

  • Talvar (film)

Talvar (English title: Guilty) is a 2015 Bollywood drama film written by Vishal Bharadwaj and directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case, in which a teenage girl and her family servant were found murdered, and her parents were convicted for the murders. The film stars Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah in leading roles and Tabu in a guest appearance. The film is produced by Junglee Pictures, the films division of The Times of India Group. Originally Nyodda, the film's title was changed to Talvar in February 2015. The film's premiere was at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Talvar presents three contradictory accounts of the case, which variously portray the parents as guilty or innocent. Meghna Gulzar has stated that her script is completely objective and unbiased. However, multiple reviewers have remarked that the film's Rashomon-style storytelling is designed to show the parents in sympathetic light. At the 61st Filmfare Awards, Talvar was nominated for five awards, including Best Film, and it won the Filmfare Award for Best Editing.

    Guilty (Gravity Kills song)

Guilty is a remix single by Gravity Kills, released by TVT Records.

It also includes the album version of the song, and tracks 6 and 7 include both the remix by tomandandy, and the demo version of "Goodbye".

The Juno Reactor remix of the song was featured in the Stanley Cup FMV sequence in NHL '99 and featured in the film, Beowulf.

Noticeably absent from the "Guilty" single is the song's 'Single Remix', which played on radio stations and garnered Gravity Kills brief mainstream popularity in 1996. However, the single version was included on the Se7en soundtrack, which was released before the band's popularity in 1995. Although the song on the soundtrack is in fact, the 'Single Remix' version, it is not denoted as such on the soundtrack packaging.

"Guilty" was heard in the promo for the fifth season of True Blood.
