Wideload (ROTF)
From Transformers Wiki
The name or term "Wideload" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Wideload (disambiguation). |
- Wideload is an Autobot from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the movie continuity family.
Wideload likes being a link in the Autobots' supply chain, but he likes to look good doing it. He's very particular about his finish, so beware; if you get him dirty, he'll track you down and deliver a truckload of beatdowns to your door.
Wideload's also not the brightest bulb in the box, being easily fooled into doing things like driving into the sea by Sonar.

Wideload had the misfortune to be on duty at NEST's South African prison when Bludgeon staged a jailbreak! When Brawn informed him and Smokescreen that this would be ugly, Wideload pointed out they had weapons and access to alt modes... which it turned out the Decepticons had regained too. He was soon smashed flying through the air towards the World Cup, landing with an almighty BAKASSSHK. Inside Out!

Revenge of the Fallen
- Wideload (Scout Class, 2010)
- Known designers: Eric Siebenaler (Hasbro)
- Part of the fifth wave of Revenge of the Fallen Scout-class figures, Wideload is a redeco of Rollbar, transforming into a delivery van of undetermined, probably made-up model, with an "Energon Express" logo on the sides. He has little to no gimmickry whatsoever, with only an automorphing chestplate that swings up when you push the truck cab down onto his back.
- This mold would also have been used to make the unreleased 2010 Transformers Crosshairs toy.
Notes
- Wideload's design, (particularly his head) appears to be an homage to an early design pass at Optimus Prime for the first film.
