Synopsis
As Spitfire plummets towards the ground, Aftermath zooms in attempting to catch her, but misses so she hits the ground in the quarry. Aftermath moves in anyway to introduce himself as a fellow Chaos Terran, only for Spitfire to be confused, because she's not Spitfire, she's Twitch in Spitfire's body. Aftermath, not cottoning on to the change in circumstance, suggests "Spitfire" have some cave water to perk her up. Meanwhile Spitfire, now inhabiting Twitch's form, is reluctantly undergoing a medical examination by Wheeljack. Wheeljack says she's fine and running at 99%, but Robby still can't feel her emotions though his cyber-sleeve.
Aftermath meanwhile arrives back at the Decepticon Base with Twitch, who's alarmed to find herself on enemy territory, but does her best to act like one of the Cons. Nova Storm and Skywarp are weirded out by Twitch's attempts to act tough, and assign the Chaos Terrans the task of organizing the ammo boxes. Aftermath leaves Twitch to it and goes to relax somewhere. Meanwhile the Maltos are now suspicious of Spitfire, who keeps calling Robby "Bobby". Wheeljack wonders if they shouldn't run more tests, and Dot insists that Robby accompany "Twitch" on the Autobot mission she's been assigned.
Twitch is moving ammo boxes when she overhears Soundwave reporting to Starscream that the Autobots are planning to move the Cyber Slayer. She can't help a shocked exclamation when Starscream immediately plans an ambush, bringing her to the Cons' attention. Starscream is unimpressed with having a new Chaos Terran around, and tells Aftermath to keep her out of the way. Twitch promises to keep far, far away. On the Malto farm, Spitfire and Nightshade are accessing the Embershards previously collected when the alarm goes off. Spitfire heads out to investigate and finds Twitch attempting to talk to Robby through his bedroom window and attacks her. Twitch tries to persuade Spitfire that they should switch bodies so they can return to their lives, but Spitfire is happy where she is, and when Robby runs up, she pretends Twitch is attacking her, dramatically fainting. Robby suits up, and though Twitch tries to explain, Spitfire and Robby demand she leave. Twitch returns to the Decepticon Base, where she attempts to talk her way into becoming part of the ambush.
Spitfire and Robby show up for the Autobot mission — the Autobots are moving Mandroid's Cyber Slayer elsewhere due to security concerns. Robby and "Twitch" are left to guard the Cyber Slayer while Optimus's trailer is prepared for transport. Spitfire is unimpressed by the weapon, surprising Robby and Wheeljack and resulting in her having to use the excuse that her memory is still patchy. When she tries to touch the Cyber Slayer but is prevented by its force field, Wheeljack suggests the pair stand guard outside the room. Elsewhere, Twitch, having screwed up her attempt to get on the mission by insulting Starscream, switches tack to antagonizing Skywarp. During the ensuing tussle, she bodyslams Skywarp onto the holographic cube that the Decepticons have been using to plan their ambush. Starscream kicks her out.
At the Autobot Base, Spitfire's frustrated scream results in Robby going to look for some cave water for her. Spitfire takes the opportunity to head back into the room with the Cyber Slayer, only to find Wheeljack is reviewing her test results and had cottoned on to the fact she might not be Twitch after all. Spitfire kills the lights and grabs the Cyber Slayer, using it to offline Wheeljack. Twitch meanwhile arrives outside the Autobot Base and heads inside, unaware Aftermath is tailing her. Warning Optimus, Dot and Elita-1 of the ambush, she heads further in where Robby's found Spitfire flying out with the Cyber Slayer. Twitch is fortunately able to convince Robby of her identity by answering questions. The pair pursue Spitfire and are joined by Optimus and Elita-1 while Dot goes to check on Wheeljack. Outside, Twitch is delayed having to rescue Robby from a plunge to the ground, and heads after Spitfire. Optimus and Elita find themselves facing Nova Storm, Skywarp and Soundwave. Twitch catches up with Spitfire and is able to use the improved tech from Spitfire's drone form to get the jump on the Chaos Terran. Twitch is able to pair with the Chaos Terran, sending them spinning into a mini-tornado and swapping them back to their correct bodies. Twitch is quickly able to convince Robby that she's herself again, but both Spitfire and the Cyber Slayer are missing. Aftermath and Spitfire, meanwhile, return to the Decepticon Base and present Starscream with the Cyber Slayer.

Notes
Continuity notes
- This episode follows directly on from the events of "Spitfire", opening as Twitch in Spitfire's body falls to the ground following their fight at the end of that episode.
- The recent breach of the base Optimus mentions is presumably referring to Ravage's incursion into the base in "Control Alt Delete", when she was hunting for a hard drive.
- Mandroid's Cyber Slayer went unnamed for its appearances in "The Last Hope, Part 1" and "The Last Hope, Part 2"

Trivia
- Though this episode appears to show Wheeljack being killed, with the last we see of him being Dot hugging his apparently lifeless body, he will turn up alive and well in future episodes without any further explanation.
