Canadians get the best things
  • Optimus Prime (Autobot Commander, 1985)
  • Accessories: "Laser Blaster", left & right fists, trailer/Combat Deck, Roller (dark blue), 4 rockets, hose, nozzle, fuel pump
A limited-edition release of the Optimus Prime toy sold as a mail-away exclusive by PepsiCo was made available in North America in 1985. This version of the figure came with a small fold-out leaflet glued to the top-right of the packaging, which contained two Pepsi logo stickers for the buyer to attach to Prime, mid-way through the traditional silver-and-blue stripe on his trailer.
Canada also got a version of this promotional figure, but with much larger stickers that were the full length and height of the trailer.

No, wait, Japanese people do.
  • Pepsi Convoy (Autobot, 2005)
  • Accessories: Left & right fists, "CO2 soda gun", "Bottle Station" trailer, cardboard Pepsi Twist bottle
Pepsi Convoy is a new-trailer redeco of the original Optimus Prime toy, inspired by the 1985 special version of Optimus that came with bonus Pepsi decals for his trailer in the North American market. He transforms into a White Freightliner WFT-8664T cabover semi-trailer truck. The windscreen section can open to reveal ultimately-unused chairs that were originally designed for Diaclone driver figures. This release has several new Pepsi-themed paint masks and decals, including a Pepsi logo on his left shoulder. Both it and the Autobot insignia on his right shoulder are tampographed rather than stickers like on previous releases of the original Optimus Prime toy, which would be later carried over to subsequent reissues of the figure.
Instead of the regular trailer that came with all previous releases of the origina Optimus Prime toy, Pepsi Convoy is equipped with an entirely new "Bottle Station" (get it?) trailer unit, specially designed to carry a single 500ml-size bottle (a common size in Japan), three 350ml cans, or 12 bottle caps (bottle cap figurines being a common and popular collectible item in Japan). Pepsi Convoy's fists and rifle store on the Station's underside when he's in vehicle mode.
Despite being a Japanese product, the packaging for Pepsi Convoy features "The Transformers" branding, which is the branding used for the English-speaking Generation 1 toylines.

Not quite as nice, but we'll take it.
  • Pepsi Optimus Prime (Autobot, 2007)
  • Accessories: Left & right fists, ion blaster, trailer, cardboard Pepsi bottle
Inspired by the 1985 promotional version of Optimus Prime that featured Pepsi stickers on his trailer, this outlandish incarnation of Prime is a slightly altered version of Takara's 2005 Pepsi Convoy figure (which represented a different character to Prime). The figure was only sold by Hasbro Toy Shop at various conventions, and given away as a promotional prize by Pepsi, via their Mountain Dew brand.
A redeco of the original Generation 1 Optimus Prime cab robot sporting an egregious number of Pepsi-themed paint masks and details, Pepsi Prime's differences from Pepsi Convoy are minimal: he features the shortened smokestacks previously seen on the Commemorative Series release of the mold, the blue pattern on his decals are different (matching the American Pepsi can/bottle look at the time rather than the one used in Japan), and also has a different layout for the Pepsi logo on his left shoulder. Like Pepsi Convoy, he comes with an entirely new trailer unit, specially designed to carry either a single 500ml (16.9 oz) size soft drink bottle, three 350ml cans, or 12 bottle caps (bottle cap figurines being a common and popular collectible item in Japan). In a first for the Prime mold, the figure's fists store in holes on the underside of the trailer while he is in vehicle mode. His ion blaster (which also stores under the trailer) is the first Hasbro reissue to feature the original, thick-barrel sculpt, which was reinstated to the mold by the Transformers Collection release of Prime a few years prior.

Transformers (2007)

In 2008, Hasbro released a Robot Heroes figure of Dispensor, a Mountain Dew vending machine Transformer seen in the film. However, the figure is adorned with no Mountain Dew logos, so it's apparently not an official PepsiCo promotion product

The most important cut content from this entire game.
  • A variant of Payload, crudely textured with a shoddily compressed Pepsi livery, can be found in the internal files for Transformers The Game. It was most likely cut early in development.
