Little is known about the ancient Swordbot Go Prime (ゴウプライム Gō Puraimu) beyond that he possesses the power of both the Samurai and the Ninja. He is referred to as a "sword master", and it was he who trained both the Swordbot Samurai Team and the Swordbot Shinobi Team. He possesses the ability to manipulate space-time, and is capable of appearing at any time or place. He can even use this power to transport the sparks of other Transformers across interstellar distances. While he can only fight for short periods of time due to overexposure to the Black Legendisc, his combat ability surpasses that of the other Swordbots.
In truth, Go Prime is a resident of the primeval Precursor World where he leads the Black Parade of the Primus Vanguard as Black Go Prime (ブラック

Precursor World
In the initial seven universes that existed before the Known World, Black Go Prime was leader of the Black Parade within the Primus Vanguard. One day, they collectively fought the Specters. Finale Prelude When Chief Straxus was corned by three Specters, he called out to "Master Black Lion" and the Three Musketeers for assistance, Blue Big Convoy comic but they were occupied with Specters of their own. Once Blue Big Convoy discovered that maximum output from his α Matrix Cannon was enough to vanquish Specters, the leaders of the Vanguard collectively decided to unleash the full power of their Matrices, seemingly wiping out the Specters and unifying the seven universes into one.
However, the single universe came under attack from the Vok. Seeking answers to this threat from the future, Primus demanded that Go hand over the Black Legendisc so that he could peer into what was yet to come. Despite Go's warnings about tampering with time and the future, Primus went ahead and used the Legendisc. What he learned seemingly drove him mad, and the concerned Primes and Convoys, including Black Go Prime, returned to their home planets, leaving Primus with only Blue Big Convoy as company. Somewhere in spacetime, Go Prime was defeated by the murderous Grand Scourge, who ripped off Go Prime's right foot and massacred many other Transformers. Their talk was interrupted by Deadlock, who was furious at the death of his mentor. Scourge easily fended off his attacks and vanished away, and Go Prime was left to witness Deadlock's vow to hunt down and kill Scourge. Decepticon Jaeger Deadlock
Go Prime would welcome Deadlock to the Black Parade, intending to train him as a Swordbot. Well into his training, they were alerted by Primus to the end of the Blue Order and the threat of Ultra Megatron Omega God Neptune comic 1 and the Black Planet was soon invaded by Coelagon, who desired the Black Legendisc. The Black Parade failed to prevent Coelagon from wresting the artifact from them. God Neptune comic 1
Go, however, remained in the fight; along with Yellow Splendid Convoy and Green Tender Convoy, he flew into space to restrain God Neptune after a surprise attack by the phantom Blue Big Convoy. Though they had the combiner on the ropes long enough for White Convoy Grand Prime to begin his attack, Go was sent flying with the others when God Neptune drew his Neptune Sword and subsequently expired. God Neptune comic 2 His spirit still continued on, and assisted in fighting back against Primacron within Neo Primus with the equally ethereal Yellow Convoy and Green Convoy in defense of their disgraced master.
Black Megatron sought to take Black Go Prime's position as representative of the Black Light, but he and his cadre of like-minded Megatrons were defeated. Much later, student would become teacher as Deadlock assumed the position of Black representative in Magna Convoy's Primus Vanguard. Finale

- Part of the TakaraTomy Go! toyline, Go Prime is a redeco of Prime Voyager Class Thundertron, transforming into a mechanical lion. His right robot mode foot can detach to reveal a bladed "peg-leg", with the original foot converting into a claw-weapon. He also comes with a redeco of the twin swords that originally came with Kenzan, which he can hold or plug into his beast mode's hip/wings.
