Bound Rogue

- Bound Rogue is an Autobot from the Robotmasters portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Bound Rogue (バウンドローグ Baundo Rōgu) is the Autobots' premier energy scout, and he takes that duty above all else. He's a young and energetic fighter to be sure, and good with double-blaster action... but he's really keen on finding new energy sources. He'll even abandon a battle if he spots a new source nearby.
Bound Rogue was originally a "normal" fully-mechanical Autobot, but was mutated by Beast Megatron into the animal form he has now.

When Starscream, Wingstun, and Air Hunter ambushed Victory Leo (who was on his way to help the distressed Star Saber), Optimus Primal and Bound Rogue leapt to Victory Leo's aid. This gave Victory Leo the chance to rescue Star Saber from Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper, then combine with him to drive the pair off. Bonds Stronger than Steel
Bound Rogue and Mirage were beaten up by Smokesniper and Gigant Bomb. Luckily, Optimus Prime and others came to their rescue. The Victory Warriors Enter!!

Bound Rogue was part of a group of Autobots who aided the city of Athens in preparing for the Olympics. When Smokesniper and Gigant Bomb attacked, Bound Rogue and the other Autobots were able to intimidate them with their numbers and make the Decepticons clean up their mess. Robotmasters Vol. 1

Fooled by Starscream, who had left it for unsuspecting Autobots to find, Bound Rogue discovered the Copy Machine in some ruins. During a test of its abilities, the machine duplicated a mountain nearby, and the Autobot was excited about its prospects in boosting the Autobot troops. He met with Lio Convoy at the Autobot base, and the Maximal decided to try out being the first template. However, the resulting copy was anything but friendly. The Secret of Lio Convoy Black Version's Birth!?

- Part of the first wave of Takara's Robotmasters toys, Bound Rogue is a redeco of the Beast Wars Basic Class Snarl/Tasmania Kid mold, transforming into a large "Tasmanian devil". By holding the toy by its tail in beast mode and pulling the trigger, his body leaps forward in a spring-loaded lunging attack. In robot mode, the tail becomes an arm-mounted (non-firing) "coolant gun" weapon.
- Oddly, an extra hole molded in a similar shape to that of the spring-loaded one is located underneath the robot mode crotch and can also have the tail inserted into it.
- Unique to this release of the toy is the chromed "Type 93" blaster-weapon, which really doesn't mount on his arm in any useful position.
Notes
- Bound Rogue's coloration is almost identical to a Beast Wars II contest-prize redeco of Tasmania Kid. They both end up looking a lot like Sonic the Hedgehog.
