The Autobot fleet (also known as the Autobot navy) is a fleet of powerful warships dedicated to the defence of Cybertron, its colonies, and the larger galaxy. Generally, their main opponent is the Decepticon fleet.

When the rogue senator Jhiaxus returned to Cybertron and proved hostile, The War to End All Wars, Part 1 The War to End All Wars, Part 2 the Autobot fleet attacked the Hub Network but failed to defeat the technologically superior foe. The War to End All Wars, Part 3 Instead, the Hub was felled via the Wreckers utilizing the Hub's own slam rail system against it and the efforts of Shockwave and Starscream (admittedly with help from the Underbase) operating the Ark. When the Hub collapsed, what few ships survived limped back to Cybertron, The War to End All Wars, Part 4 only to find the planet and its populace had been corrupted by the Dark Matrix entity. Once Rodimus Prime had defeated the creature, the Autobot fleet abandoned Cybertron once more, taking on a new life as interstellar ambassadors and champions of peace. Springer referred to Broadside and the Aerialbots as the Autobot fleet and dispatched them to extract Rodimus Prime's group from Quintessa. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 2

When Optimus Prime was revived by the Quintessons, his brainwashing led him to lead the Autobot fleet into the path of a Quintesson doomsday device called "The Detonator". As per the Quintessons' plan, the Autobot fleet was utterly decimated by the Quintesson weapons, only being saved by the Matrix of Leadership purifying the malicious coding in Optimus's mind who ordered what remained of the fleet to return to Cybertron while he rammed the flagship into The Detonator, dying once again but saving his people. Japanese cartoon continuity

As the Great War spread out into the cosmos, the Autobots joined several alien powers in forming the Universal Peace Alliance with the Autobots serving as the interstellar military force for the organization. Transformers: Victory (cartoon)

2005 IDW continuity

The Autobot fleet comprised a multitude of starship classes, most of the ships being Ark-class vessels. Shining Armor #5 Last Stand Our Finest The fleet operated out of Autobot Orbital Command Hub. Stormbringer #1

In the 1700s, Bumblebee, after a disastrous adventure on the planet Xetaxxis, climbed into the Magnus Armor, its recall function returning the scout to the Autobot fleet where reported on the mission to Autobot High Command. Shining Armor #5

During the Expansion, the fleet came under attack from the forces of the Dead Universe the Ark-12 in particular suffering heavy damage. Spotlight: Cyclonus

Some years later, Sunstreaker betrayed the Autobots to Starscream, granting the Decepticons all of the Autobot access codes. In what became known as the Surge, the Autobot fleet came under heavy attack, with the majority of its military might being wiped out. All Hail Megatron #5

The Autobot fleet was rebuilt by the time Unicron launched its attack on the galaxy, the Ark-Zero serving as the flagship. Though Garnak had wished the fleet to jump to Devisiun, Unstopped and Unstoppable the fleet first massed above Caminus to defend the colony from the monster and its Maximal army only to be ravaged by the beasts' numerical superiority, quantum jumping back to Cybertron once the world had been consumed. Last Stand When Starscream announced the existence of the Decepticon Vengeance Division, Windblade proposed adding its might to the Autobot fleet only for a communication to come in that the DVD was already facing off against the monster. Unicron soon arrived over Cybertron, now having assumed a towering robot mode. The Autobot fleet rushed into action only to be met by the DVD, the Decepticon fleet now warped into Unicron's service. Though the Autobots fought valiantly, they were ultimately defeated by the Decepticons' superior firepower, though not before they'd managed to destroy all the Decepticon Warworlds. By the 24th century, the Hydrax Spaceport was noted to serve as the dumping ground for the mothballed remains of the Cybertronian fleet, which presumably included the remains of the Autobot ships. Not All Megatrons

The Autobot fleet escorted the Exodus off Cybertron, warping into action once the Decepticon fleet made their move, the Hyperion facing off against the Doomsday. Though the Exodus suffered damage to its transwarp drive, the Autobot fleet was ultimately successful in helping the Mini-Cons escape Cybertron. First Encounter

In 2010, when the Hydra Cannon arrived at Cybertron, a flotilla of Autobot ships scrambled to intercept it and destroy Galvatron forever only for them to fall to the Hydra Cannon's might. Optimus Prime soon arrived and had the flag transferred to the Axalon. Uprising

When the Autobots and Decepticons joined forces to combat Unicron, Alliance the Autobot fleet fought alongside its Decepticon counterpart against the Chaos Bringer, Union only for their attacks to have no effect on their foe, the god feeding off the hatred of the warriors. Unicron was only felled through Galvatron's sacrifice with what remained of the fleets returning to Cybertron afterwards. Mortal Combat

Some ten years later, the Miranda II had become the fleet's new flagship. Go for Unicron! When a revived Unicron returned, the Autobot fleet moved to engage him and his Decepticon supporters, succeeding in returning the monster to stasis lock. Battle Stations

Timelines

When the Unicron Singularity threatened to destroy Cybertron, Ultra Magnus dispatched the Autobot fleet to find the lost colony worlds and the Cyber Planet Keys they held. Magnus oversaw these operations from the Autobot flagship, the Iron Hope. Force of Habit

Animated cartoon continuity

To match the brutal might of their Decepticon foes, the Autobots enacted Project Omega which augmented their fleet with twelve Omega Sentinels, powerful living weapons, the last of them, Sigma Supreme, serving as the fleet's flagship. With this mighty fleet, the Autobots were able to enact a "planet-hopping" campaign and free all the captured colony worlds from Decepticon control. By the 21st century, the Autobot fleet had largely been decommissioned, with old warships being relegated to maintenance functions. Transform and Roll Out TransWarped The militarily active remnants of the fleet scrambled into action during the Decepticon Uprisings but found their forces stretched to near breaking until Megatron called off the attacks. When Dark Energon contamination forced the Core to shut down, Optimus Prime was forced to order a planetary evacuation. Though the Autobot fleet quickly mobilized, they were met by the orbiting Trypticon who used his cannon alternate mode to destroy any fleeing ships. Once Trypticon had been defeated, the fleet resumed its evacuation. War for Cybertron Before the battle of Iacon, a handful of transports escaped the planet, followed by the Ark itself. Fall of Cybertron Sometime after the Ark had launched, Impactor oversaw the departure of a later batch of ships, Rage of the Dinobots #1 while some stragglers, Ultra Magnus among them, later departed in personal ships, intending to meet up with the larger fleet.
