News@kbin.social•Analysis | The average doctor in the U.S. makes $350,000 a year. Why?
3·2 years agoFor sure. Though if you make 350k, you should be able to pay back 200k loans in 2 or 3 years easy.

Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•What something you wish you had done during your 20's?
3·2 years agoAgreed. Travel if you can when you’re young, or just make sure to not have kids or put it off a while so you can get to a more money-making part of your career and can afford it more without being tied down by children.

1·2 years agoSomething in IT is great, I think, and will be applicable to such a variety of fields and allow you to pivot in your career. Once you’re progressing in your career, well, I’ve seen or heard of people making surprising shifts. So much learning for various jobs is really institutional anyways and will happen on the job. Just make sure you learn to well, learn. Always be playing with and learning new tools and processes and be adaptable. For instance, you could start out a developer and find out you like managing projects on your team and finding ways to make things more efficient and wind up a project manager who also understands what your team is talking about and working on.

Technology@kbin.social•Even Zoom is making staff return to the office now
3·3 years agoCurious – not saying it’s great, but I don’t think the Zoom UX is much better, personally. What bothers you about Teams, if I might ask?
Ooh makes sense, thanks!

2·3 years agoPretty much exactly the same here. There’s no denying the existing collection of knowledge on Reddit, but it is no longer a browse randomly app for me.

6·3 years agoThat’s a decent solution, but unfortunately doesn’t have handy podcast app features like silence trimming, voice boosting, etc. Great suggestion though!

Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•Anyone else still kinda miss Reddit?
4·3 years agoI’ll admit I do. And I won’t like, I’ll still append “Reddit” to my searches as needed. I’m just not really actively contributing or anything there anymore, which is sad
Interesting. For some reason kbin sounds better than lemmy to me, but don’t super love either.

Haha, totally fair. I’ll admit I hadn’t seen much about cyberdecks and now am a little annoyed by this article. Some questions about the ergonomics on this one for sure, but still worth sharing I suppose.
