Etimologi

Nama geoffroanus, diambil daripada nama seorang pakar semulajadi Perancis, Étienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire.^[4]

Taburan geografi

P. geoffroanus boleh dijumpai di barat daya Venezuela, tenggara Colombia, timur Ecuador, dan timur Peru, tenggara Brazil dan utara Bolivia hingga ke Paraguay dan timur laut Argentina. Terdapat juga di Venezuela, dan Guyana.
